Yeah, That's What I said

I found this on Jim O'Sullivan's blog, which is basically the same thing I said in a previous blog post. Curiously, my post received few comments in response. Except, while I focused on only the racial divide, authors Patrick H. Caddell and Douglas E. Schoen added class and partisanship to the list of divisive issues Obama is using to divide our country.

Food for Thought

Selwyn Duke is a writer that I first found at AmericanThinker.com. Always liked his stuff. Always was fascinated by the name "Selwyn". (Where'd THAT come from?) For some reason, I've been getting his columns delivered right to my emails (yeah, both addresses---don't know why). But I don't mind because I like what he writes. He makes sense.

This column of his I found particularly interesting. He brings up some aspects of immigration that I had not thus far considered. One thing he seems to imply is a need to REDUCE the numbers of LEGAL immigrants that our current system now allows every year. Based on the points he makes, it makes complete sense.

I must admit that in this piece he doesn't provide much in the way of hard support for his stats and such. But as I thought on it, I realized that the point stands even if the voting assumptions are completely wrong. At my blog, where I thrill the mind with astounding common sense and wisdom, the subject of illegals, current immigration law and what possible harm is there by the migration of so many. Of course the harm is great and manifests in any number of ways and to add to all that was presented by a link to this article I now add the change to our culture.

As Duke points out, with so many immigrants, both legal and otherwise, coming to this country from Mexico and other parts further south, a growing segment of our population is really Mexico North. Assimilation is not even in question and our very character must change as a result. This is indeed harm and arguably the worst harm that "poor, hard working people who only want the best for their families" can inflict upon the United States of America.

Of course it's not JUST hispanic influences to our culture, but ideological influences that conflict with the traditional American character. And left unchecked, growing numbers of any people with an ideology and philosophy in incompatible with the American character will eventually, and likely with growing speed, alter, distort and eventually dilute that character beyond recognition. Considering that character was such a force in the world, as well as the vehicle that propelled us to be that force, how could anyone not want to preserve it and feed it with only those newcomers that will perpetuate it?

In other discussions on illegal immigration, some, like Geoffrey, think we should just remove the doors altogether and let all who want to come here simply flow in at their pleasure and leisure without any restrictions whatsoever (save some token talk about restricting criminals). One alternative I had heard somewhere was to halt immigration for a time as we put forth ways to make legal all those who are here illegally, such as dividing the numbers of illegals by the amount we normally allow every year, about one million, and halting immigration for one year for each. That would mean, allowing no more immigration for 12 years, as there are thought to be 12 million illegals here now.

But I now say, just stop all immigration altogether. No more. Those who don't think have cried for immigration reform and I used to believe part of this whine was a cry for larger numbers to be allowed in every year, and I thought that once we seal the borders and enforce current laws that perhaps that could be done. But Duke has made me rethink the whole idea and now I see that we need to really be MORE restrictive in our policies in order to preserve the union. So now I see the following as the course we MUST follow:

1) Halt all immigration. The only exceptions would be those who are fleeing likely death at the hands of despotic leaders.

2) Seal the borders. Use all means at hand, be they fences, military patrols, drones, whatever. That would be Mexico AND Canada as well as ports along our eastern and western shores.

3) Remove all encentives for illegals to come here or remain. No more jobs (devastating penalties for hiring illegals), no schooling, no free medical care, no welfare bennies of any kind.

4) Deport illegals as we find them, granting only enough time to arrange for gathering family members or where applicable, sending American born kids to live with legal family or friends who will care for them.

5) When we've determined that we've rid ourselves of 75% of those now here illegally, begin allowing immigration to resume at levels no higher than 250,000 per year or whatever low number seems to work best.

6) Once immigration resumes, we must be selective in who we allow to enter and take part of the American way of life. We must see some indication that immigrants want to be Americans, not foreigners living here with legal status. And also, we must have skilled people come in in far greater percentages than unskilled.

I've spoken of moral decline in this country and this blog speaks of American Descent as an overriding theme. We cannot allow our nation to be degraded by the introduction of peoples who are not concerned with perpetuating the American way of life, her spirit and her place in the world.

I don't know if this video will be available by the time anyone visits here. Powerline Blog posted one link to it and it was removed. Then, they posted this one, and they say they think Liberals have been trying to remove it from Youtube.

I'm posting it here, regardless.

Some would say this is a case of sour grapes. This documentary maker just wanted Hillary Clinton to get the nomination, but, as a seasoned Obama watcher, none of this new information surprises me.

His history is one of fraud, corruption and lies.

Naturally, Obama's worshippers will label this woman a liar. They will attack the messenger, and have little, if anything, to say about the message. Or, they may concede some voter fraud may have taken place, but that it "only happened in Texas", as some sort of evidence that it wouldn't be an example of wide spread voter fraud, but we have seen news story after news story from all over the United States since 2004 that indicate ACORN (who Obama worked for) has perpetrated voter fraud extensively.

They may say that.

But, it is what it is.

One Giant Leap (Backward)
--Jonah Goldberg

"Liberalism is caught in something of a Catch-22. Under Obama, liberals are determined to reinvigorate the reputation of government, to prove that only the state can get important things done. That is why the Gulf oil spill, for instance, is so vexatious for the White House and its liberal supporters. Why can't the government be more nimble, more resourceful?

"It was one thing when the feds failed after Hurricane Katrina, liberals reasoned, because Bush didn't like government. This was not only untrue, it overlooked the fact that the permanent government bureaucracy is on liberal autopilot."
'Liberal Autopilot' ... so very true, and least acknowledged from many on the left, and least understood by most non-government employed citizens. It's one thing to say, 'We're going to take back Washington this Fall!' But you have to clean out the hangers-on... the ones that work their entrenched positions in the apparatus of government. The ones who keep their jobs regardless of who is in power.

For example, the Department of Education hasn't changed its underlying agenda of social reeducation, and we've had more years of republican presidents in the White House over the last 35 years, than democrat. It's bad enough that the ideology is entrenched, but what makes it worse is both houses and the oval office being steered by like-minded ideologues.

"...contemporary liberalism is not an evil ideology. Its intentions aren't evil or even fruitfully comparable to Hitlerism. But there is a liberal Gleichschaltung all the same. Every institution must be on the same page. Every agency must advance the liberal agenda.

"And this is where the Catch-22 catches. The dream of a nimble, focused, problem-solving government is undone by the reality of hyper-mission creep. When every institution is yoked to an overarching philosophy or mission, its actual purpose can become an afterthought."
It's also undone by the blatant inability of government to 'plug the hole' in the Gulf. That's not really entirely Obama's failing, it's the government's. Remember FEMA after Katrina? That wasn't a Bush problem either. The fact is, government solutions churn slowly. And no one really wants to admit the truth of this; especially when bloated government's slow churn provides such lovely opportunities to bash which ever president is in charge. It's not Obama's fault the hole can't be plugged, but there's plenty of other failings which can be ascribed to his ineptitude.

"Liberalism has become a cargo cult to the New Deal, but many of the achievements of the New Deal would be impossible now. Just try to get a Hoover Dam built today.

"President Obama likes to say "if we could put a man on the moon" we can do anything, from socializing medicine to abandoning fossil fuels. That's nonsense on stilts for a host of reasons. But it's also ironic, given that we can't even put a man on the moon anymore. Not when NASA's foremost priority is boosting the self-esteem of children and Muslims."
Is he or is he not a closet Muslim? Leave it to a liberal... er, sorry, a 'progressive'... to use the National AERONAUTIC and SPACE agency to advance an earth-bound CULTURE mission which does nothing to advance space exploration. NASA's new mission? Get Muslims and Infidels to hold hands and sing 'Kumbaya'?

CBS News - Grade Obama's first Year In Office

CBS News is conducting an online poll, open to any passerby. Me, for instance... or you. Would you care to Grade Obama's First Year in Office? I thought so.

After you've taken the poll, make sure you take a gander at the current results. Were Obama to get a look at them this moment he wouldn't be happy. But then he'd also know that this is hardly a scientific poll. And as it's ongoing, there's no telling where the numbers will end up. But for now, he is the loser we all know him to be.

Cloward-Piven Anyone? A Little Much Need Light

Clearly, there is brewing strange dark times ahead. No one is truly prescient; there is no American Maud'dib waiting to steer us along a 'golden path' through these strange dark times. We have to do the work ourselves. We have to study the facts laid out before us and determine for ourselves this nation's present course and, upon doing so, only then can we know with any certainty where we will end up, and how best to either prevent or facilitate the outcome.

A lot has been said about Cloward-Piven but, I think, not a lot of thought has been put forward in analyzing just what it means. Is it really possible to bankrupt the economy and government, and expect government to then replace our system of governance with even greater boons to the moocher class?

Let's project a little light onto the subject and viability of the whole Cloward-Piven strategy...

Why Cloward-Piven Will Eat Itself

Who Are The Real Fascists?

"When Fascism comes to America, it will not be in brown and black shirts. It will be in Nike sneakers and Smiley shirts." ~ George Carlin

Lowering the voting age to eighteen.

The minimum age for Representatives to twenty-five.

Universal suffrage, including for women.

End of the draft.

A Federal law sanctioning a legal work day of an actual eight hours of work for all workers.

A creation of various government bodies run by workers representatives.

A minimum wage.

Reform of the old-age and pension system and the establishment of age limits for hazardous work.

A progressive tax.

These principles are all principles of modern liberalism in America. They define much of what Liberals stand for today. With a few minor modifications.

But, do you know what other political ideology embodies those exact same principles?

Want a hint?

Here's more:

The abolition of the Senate and the creation of a national technical council on intellectual and manual labor, industry, commerce, and culture.

Repeal of titles of nobility.

A foreign policy aimed at expanding the nation's will and power in opposition to all foreign imperialisms.

Forcing landowners to cultivate their lands or have them expropriated and given to veterans and farmers' cooperatives.

The obligation of the state to build "rigidly secular" schools for the proletariat's moral and cultural condition.

The progressive tax (mentioned above) would amount to a one-time partial expropriation of all riches.

The seizure of all goods belonging to religious congregations and the abolition of episcopal revenues.

The review of all military contracts and the sequestration of 85% of all war profits.

The nationalization of all arms and explosives industries.

Here's the answer:

These are some highlights of the principles upon which the Fasci di Combattimento was founded, back in 1919, by Benito Mussolini.

Better known as Fascism.

This post is already too lengthy. I'm not going to explain which of these fascist principles are seemingly already on Obama's drawing board.

But, should the act of creating unelected and unaccountable "czars" to regulate, advise, and create official government policy give us pause?

How about the words, "America is not a Christian nation"?

Or, the phrase, "they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them..."?

Or the Government takeover of automobile industries, banks and lending institutions, and insurance companies, etc.?

Am I making my point clear?

For the benefit of any left-wing moderately progressive Liberals who may have accidentally or intentionally stumbled upon my humble blog, I'll make it crystal clear, because I know you aren't bright enough to make the connection:

The principles outlined by Mussolini's Fascist party are the exact same principles embraced by modern American liberals.

So, before you hurl insults such as "Fascists", "Brown shirts", "Nazi's", "Jack-booted storm troopers", "Racists", etc, at Conservatives, first consider which political ideology most closely resembles the traits you are describing.

Then, shut the Hell up.

Or don't.

I don't care.

It's still a free country. You still have the right to disagree.

So far.
