Obama Recruits ACORN for 2010 Census!?

This one needs some investigation, and if true, some serious opposition. ACORN should not be allowed to even touch the census process.

Steele: Obama Using ACORN For Census
--Dan Weil, NewsMax, April 9, 2009

..."President Obama's old friends from ACORN, the leftist, urban 'community' organization with a long history of promoting vote fraud, has been chosen by the Administration as a 'partner' with the Census Bureau to determine population counts in cities around the country."...

Counts that will determine the political makeup of Washington for the next ten years, AND rig, presumably, the next election in Barack Obama's favor.

Yes the actual census is gonna be conducted nationally by the federal government, but it is the STATES that redraw district lines. please explain how tampering with census figures will cause states to redraw districts benefiting democrats.

    Don't be a sheep.

  2. Absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Obama's intent is to rig the next election. He must be impeached. And then jailed.

  3. Bent. It's called gerrymandering. Look it up.

  4. It's what Democrats were so enraged about when Tom Delay did it in Texas. What he did was legal, but that didn't stop the Dems from trying to put him in jail over it.

Of course, the only way ACORN will do it legally is if they absolutely have to.

  5. Man you guys are peeing in your pants. Why do you hate America?

  6. Dude! We certainly don't hate America! We hate Obamaca!

  7. Ben and Jim... Sheep, to be sure. They believe everything that comes out of Democratic Washington. They hated Bush for the exact same reasons we on the right rightfully fear Obama's vision of "Hope" and "Change". I continue to ask, "whose 'hope'? whose 'change'?"

Ben is the only liberal here who makes an effort at arguing honestly. I disagree with his interpretations, but at least he offers more than pith and piss, which appears to be all that the rest of our liberal posters seem capable of.

For Ben, though, what he offers is 'face value' he doesn't bother to dig deeper. He doesn't want to look. Jim? He just doesn't bother, period.

  8. I should bother to "argue honestly"? The bulk of your words deserve no more than "pith and piss".

There is no arguing against vitriol and hate; only calling it what it is.

  9. You are irrational Jim. And yes, you should bother. To do less shows all you're interested in is your own brand of vitriol and hate.

You're just another cog in the Liberal hate machine, and unable to separate your mind from your devotion to Liberalism. Which makes you-- like so many other millions --dangerous.

I haven't decided yet which is more dangerous. Those who can and have reasoned the truth yet reject it, or those who can't and blindly follow evil.

  10. uh huh Eric. Yep. You've called it exactly. You obviously know everything. I'm so impressed.

Well EL then argue honestly. If you think I only see the surface, then elucidate the deeper truths.

Assuming the premise of the post is true. (That's a big assumption, but what the heah) How can shifting population counts cause state legislatures to redraw district lines to sway the federal congress. How will population numbers cause republican incumbents to let their districts be redrawn? How will new population numbers sway electoral votes in swing states? Do you think Democrats have autocracy in all state legislatures? Do you think such a massive conspiracy couldn't be ferreted out?

  12. BenT,

Do you honestly believe it is a good thing to let an organization with a dismal record like ACORN assist the federal govt. in documenting ANY Damned Thing?

ACORN is corrupt and is a tool of the Democrat Party. That CANNOT be denied by any reasonable person!

And...Demographics play a HUGE part in redistricting...despite your denials.

Look ACORN is no more nefarious than Habitat for Humanity or the Red Cross.

ACORN hires low-income workers to perform public service tasks, delivering phonebooks, census takers, enrolling voters, things like that.

In any organization you get a few employees that are bad apples. Some ACORN workers make up voter registration names. Others fake census data.

Is this a sign of overall nefarious machinations from ACORN --No!

One of the ways you can tell this isn't is that a lot of these bad apples are turned in by the ACORN organization itself. Secondly is that under Pres. Bush's administration many state attorney generals launched investigations into voter fraud. So far not one of those investigations has even brought an indictment, much less a conviction.

And still no one has shown how falsifying census data would further the aims of the democratic party. And even more no one has said how the possible gains would so far exceed the disadvantages of such a massive conspiracy.

It's a crazy conspiracy theory. Both sides periodically come up with them. Let it go.

  14. Excellent post Ben. I especially like Look ACORN is no more nefarious than Habitat for Humanity or the Red Cross.Every point you made is correct and cannot be refuted by anybody here.

How do these folks think the census is usually done?

  15. "Look ACORN is no more nefarious than Habitat for Humanity or the Red Cross."I don't know that either H4H or the RC has ever had as many complaints against them in the short span of the last election cycle. Or for that matter, in total ever. So forget conspiracy theories and just ask yourself why you'd support the appointment of such a poorly run organization to handle the census. To have so many separate cases irregularities shows a marked lack of ability in the hiring of workers of quality, just the accuracy of the census count alone would always be in doubt. ACORN is a shoddy organization run in a shoddy way with a rep for hiring shoddy workers. Only an idiot would put them in charge of anything.

  16. I wonder how Liberals would feel if Haliburton was signed on to manage the Census?

ACORN is implicated in dozens of lawsuits across this country for voter fraud. Whether they are corporately responsible or not is irrelevant... their TRACK RECORD shows poor judgment. And the Census is not something to be haphazard or lackadaisical about. What's to keep their "employees" from making up the counts to get a bigger check?

The very fact that the Administration has TAKEN OVER the 2010 Census is troubling enough, with Rohm Emmanuel preferring "estimates" in inner-city population rather than cold, hard, numbers.

To my mind, only a fool would see this as a good idea, let alone reason to believe the 2010 Census will be even remotely accurate. Only a fool doesn't question WHY an administration is choosing to strip the Commerce Department of its Constitutional authority to manage the Census.

Why does Obama want his hands on the Census? What is his motive?

Now, if this were Bush, and HALIBURTON was being allowed a hand in the Census, you hypocrites on the left would be screaming bloody murder. You know it. We know it. Get over it.

Hell, even I wouldn't like the idea of Bush taking over the Census; I'd be asking the same questions you on the left are FAILING to ask. Why? And under WHAT AUTHORITY is he taking hold of something he has no Constitutional authority to administer? And why is Congress allowing it? What do THEY hope to gain?

Only a "sheep" [read: Ben, Jim, ER, Dan... et al] would sit back and see nothing wrong with what's going on here. Only a SHEEP would believe Obama when he says there's nothing nefarious about letting ACORN in on the Census.

And here, on clear display, proof of idiocy:

"Excellent post Ben. I especially like 'Look ACORN is no more nefarious than Habitat for Humanity or the Red Cross.' Every point you made is correct and cannot be refuted by anybody here.Ben's points were NOT correct. And they were EASILY refuted. Jim is just one flat-brain* patting another flat-brain on the back.

For the record, Habitat for Humanity isn't implicated election fraud... only building houses that are sub-standard. The Red Cross, likewise, hasn't been implicated in an effort to subvert the election process... they offer lifesaving services to anyone irrespective of race, color, or bank balance.

ACORN on the other hand IS implicated in dozens of cases of voter fraud across this nation, AND they are in no small measure responsible for the housing crash.

Wake up you flat-brained sheep! I can't believe I'm having to point out the obvious to folk who have intelligence enough to use a keyboard.

  17. The very fact that the Administration has TAKEN OVER the 2010 Census.

Um, who do you think does the census every ten years, Wal-Mart?

I notice you haven't refuted what BenT said about ACORN.

Also, could you possibly cite a news source that shows that ACORN has been hired to do work for the census. I mean something that cites an administration official. I haven't been able to find one, but then it might just be me.
