Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.

ReplyDeleteWhy did he feel it necessary to throw his body in the ocean? I know the reason they told us:
ReplyDeleteBecause they didn't want the followers of bin Laden to make his burial site a shrine, and they wanted to respect the Muslim tradition of burying the dead in the first 24 hours after death.
But, bin Laden's followers don't need a burial site to create a shrine. they will create shrines anywhere they desire; his home, his birthplace, the place of his death, etc.
That is the silliest reason to bury him at sea.
I also think we have no reason to respect the Muslims traditions regarding the death of this monster. All that did was prove Obama has more love and respect for a dead terrorist than for his own people.
It would have sent a stronger and clearer message to the enemies of the United States if we had hanged his lifeless body high above Times Square for at least thirty days so the world could watch him rot.
Or we could have just burned Osama's Kuran. That would show 'em.

ReplyDeleteHitler's body was never found, which inspired thousands of theories that he might still be alive somewhere, plotting revenge, which is very likely going to happen now with bin Laden now that Obama ordered his body to be buried where no one could find him. As I type, many bloggers and conspiracy theorists are already speculating that Osama might not really be dead.
But, let's talk about what happened to Mussolini's body. There's no doubt that he died, is there?
I re-iterate: Osama did not deserve respect.
I wish he hadn't been killed, actually. I think the best thing to have happened to him was lifetime solitary confinement with absolutely no contact whatsoever with the outside world, as we did to Rudolph Hess at Spandau prison after WW II. No Martyrdom. No effectiveness. Neutralized.

You people seem to think that Obama can just make this stuff up and no SEALs or CIA personnel are going to call him on it? Let me know when you find someone who rats Obama out.

ReplyDeleteNo. But, as of yet, I haven't heard the Navy SEALs say anything, and I'm not likely to, until Obama's out of office.
You see, Armed forces personnel are not allowed to make comments on their missions, or voice their opinion of their commanders. Especially clandestine missions.
So, yes. Obama can make this stuff up and the SEALs and the CIA will not call him on it. But you can count on other versions coming out in the near future.
That said, you won't believe anything negative about your God, Obama, anyway, no matter how substantiated.
I'll give you that, though, since I don't believe anything positive about him.
