Rep. John Murtha, (D) Dead at 77
Well, that's ONE way of getting him out of office.
Condolences to his family. Beyond that I haven't much to say about the man. What I might have had to say, I've said already. If anyone cares to eulogize the man, here's your chance.
What a paradox! A man who was a war hero, turning on his own country. That has to be more despicable than being a man who always opposes war no matter how necessary. At least the anti-war nut has some scruples.
But not Murtha.
I'm sure he had some good qualities. I just don't know what they would be.
I'll take a pass. I thought of giving him some recognition, as I did Kennedy, but I kinda regret the Kennedy piece and did even as I wrote it. As for Murtha, Malkin had a good piece on why he isn't worth the time. However, I hope his family finds peace with it soon.
Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.
We are benevolent dictators in this regard. Enjoy.
