Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.

To be fair, however, this report that is now circulating was ordered by Bush, not Obama. TWO reports were ordered: One to assess right-wing extremism, and the other to assess left-wing extremism. The "left-wing" report was issued in January but saw no mention in the main-stream media. This by itself means nothing; the media could very well have viewed that report as unremarkable. Likewise, the media isn't interested in covering the right-wing report either. Certain talking heads on BOTH sides of the ideological divide HAVE made issues of it, but media as a whole? Nobody even heard about the "left-winger" report until DHS sent out the letter to be on the lookout for... gasp! ...returning vets from Afghanistan and Iraq, because they possess certain skill-sets, and are weak-minded and easily manipulated. Watch out for those evil anti-abortion folk, and gun owners. And let's make sure we know who all those people at the tea-parties are so we can compile government files on all their activities.
But this report, and the resultant brouhaha, have nothing in common with the report that was issued by MIAC (Missouri Information Analysis Center) and defended by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon. The report states, among other things, that:
-Ron Paul supporters
-Libertarians
-People who display bumper stickers
-People who own gold
-People who fly a U.S. flag
are deemed potential enemies of the state. By a Democrat. Now, we can argue that Gov Nixon is just one man. But he didn't compile the report, nor should we assume that he is alone in thinking this way. He is not. Democrats and Liberals nationwide believe this kind of tripe.

Yet the joke's on him. He fails to recognize just how much of a flock member he himself is... he believes everything his shepherds tell him.
Which tells me, he's not as "all that" as he believes.
He should take his own advice and stop being a flat-brained liberal. To mean: one who accepts the "science of the day" over his own ability to reason.
Am I the only one that noticed this DHS report was made public just before the Tea Parties that are going on today? It seems to me that Liberals are getting ready to use this information to cause trouble at the various tea parties.

ReplyDeleteMarching orders for the nations' police forces because they are brainwashed automatons, who follow this supposed conspiracy in lock-step?
Why would such a grand conspiracy as you have postulated write such bald-faced partisan reports? What was the purpose and benefit of these conservative critical reports?
See this is how you can tell real conspiracies from fake. Real conspiracies do not make obvious moves. All the actions taken by a real conspiracy work together to further a set of goals. IF there was a conspiracy by liberals to get police forces cracking down on lawful conservative groups/individuals the processes and means would have to be much more subtle than something like these reports.
Don't be a sheep.
Elitists don't care about protocol, BenT. They just use what power they have at hand to implement their agenda.
