Thomas Paine Speaks Out - Bonuses For Failure, Part 2

Democrats complain about Republicans being criminals? Wake Up America! You are losing yourself to the evil ideologies of BOTH parties, but primarily the Democrats. They don't listen to you. They don't care about you. You are nothing to them. Wake up and take back what is left of your country. Before they kick in your door and drag you away into the night because you said or did what any American thirty years ago had the right to say or do.

"The biggest traitors among you hold elective office!"

--Bob Basso, as Thomas Paine

How long before our "leaders" shut this man down? Investigate HIS tax returns?

  1. In my Observation. I find that your blog has so much anger and not enough love.
But I will follow it anyway. In hope that it may see the light and change.

  2. GHB,

You see only anger. We prefer to think of it as "tough love".

  3. Regarding the video, I'll have to view it a few times. One point I have to protest is the call for term limits. Term limits is laziness. There's no way I would want a good servant of the people to be forced to step down if he would prefer to keep serving. WE THE PEOPLE are the only term limits we should need, by voting out the bums and voting in good people. Term limits removes responsibility from where it belongs, that being in each of us.

While I agree that Congress should not be able to vote for their own pay increases, I am a bit torn as to how we honor them for their service after they are gone. After all, some of them do give up more lucrative private sector gigs to serve. That should be worth something, even if it's less than full pay for the rest of their lives. But the idea that they'd respond better by having to deal with SS and health care the same way the rest of us do makes total sense. Certainly non-elected gov't workers should be dealing with these things in the same way, if they aren't already.

Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.

We are benevolent dictators in this regard. Enjoy.
