"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions... Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the ‘new, wonderful good society’ which shall now be Rome’s, interpreted to mean ‘more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious."
I found this quote at Lone Ranger's place. It bears repeating. Can't blame Obama for being what he is, the blame lays squarely on those who voted Arrogance personified into the White House.

ReplyDeleteWhy don't you try merely discussing the points being made without your usual psuedo-superior tone. You don't impress in the least. You do, however, expose yourself as an ass. As it is common in most all your commentary, the result is that it is no more than gaseous excretions. Keep in mind that your positions are difficult enough for you to defend as it is. Pretending that somehow there's something wrong with us and our understanding doesn't help. It just validates our opinion of you personally.

ReplyDeleteHmmm, a lot of comments deleted here. Well, it's happened before and it'll likely happen again.
ReplyDeleteLook at the "Leave Your Comment" text at the upper right hand of the page. It says,
"Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly."
I should also add,
"Your right to swing your fist ends where it connects with my nose."
