The only report on the story comes from Politico.com, and the linked piece at Hot Air. I checked today's Congress Daily. Nothing. One would think if a reporter for a serious journal like that was roughed up, even a little, the journal in question might report on it. Nada. Silence.
All the same, since all one has is a report of one guy taking another guy by the arm and pushing out of the way, I guess that, while it is certainly not something done to reporters, until I see something somewhere besides either Politico and Hot Air I am going to reserve judgment.
D- Off topic, sorta, but here's a link I found in comments at the Hot-Air piece. None within our pantheon of raving libs will appreciate of even concede the similarities...
"The nation was in shambles. A previous ruler had led the country into an unnecessary war, the economy was failing, and a sense of depression filled the air. Then, a new leader emerged. He was a powerful speaker, offering hope, change, and a fix to the economy. He wrote two books about his experiences and used his literary work to propel him to success. He was an open christian with some muslim friends. He called for unity and considered himself an advocate of peace. Some of his political opponents cast him as naive and inexperienced. He also had a lot of radical ties, but the media, and ultimately the voters, were willing to overlook that.
Who is he?"
The Answer?
Hitler.
It's a scary world we find ourselves in, brother. And just two weeks into his brave new world.
Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.
We are benevolent dictators in this regard. Enjoy.
