Tired of the Hypocrisy of Liberalists

When Loretta Lynch met with president Clinton last year there was little (if any) cry for resignations and independent investigations by liberals in Neo-Amerikansk. Ms. Lynch neither resigned nor recused herself from her position as Attorney General, or as top attorney in the Clinton Foundation investigation.

Today, Pelosi and Schumer, as well as liberal "thinkers" are calling for Attorney General Jeff Sessions' resignation for not being "clear" during his confirmation testimony, about his meeting with the Russian ambassador in his role as senator ~ not as attorney general, not as nominee for attorney general. One such meeting was on the sidelines of the Republican Convention last August. The other in his office in September. How many other senators did the Russian ambassador visit with last August, and how many were democrats? How does this warrant resignation, or recusal from any FBI investigation of Trump? Would this make the Al Frankens of the world happy? Hardly! liberals are never happy unless they're telling you what to do, telling you how to live, and telling you how to think, knowing you have no choice but to comply.

Liberals are cowards, moral and intellectual deficients. Hypocrites, one and all. If the truth were integral to liberal values, they would have never suffered so lame an excuse from Loretta Lynch after her unethical meeting with Bill Clinton. Nether would liberals have suffered Hillary Clinton to succeed over Bernie Sanders during the primaries ~  the DNC, instead, actively and secretly, plotted and employed dirty tricks to sabotage Sen Sanders' campaign. Clearly truth ~ and integrity ~ aren't integral to liberal values... they're antithetical!

Sessions should (and will this afternoon) clarify his meetings, perhaps even recuse himself from any future investigation of the Trump-Russians fantasy. Liberals and media won't be mollified, of course, nor accept anything less (perhaps not even that) than Trump's impeachment. But cries of foul from the socialist left, ring hollow, and more than a little hypocritical.

And let's not forget about Obama, who's staying in DC (with Valarie Jarrett) to foment discord and plot against Trump.

  1. Welcome back.

First Sessions appears to have lied under oath during his testimony during his confirmations when he was asked twice about contacts with Russians during the campaign.

Second after Flynn was fired for either misrepresenting his Russian contacts to Pres. Trump, VP Pence, Congress, the FBI and the public, Sessions didn't go back and revise his testimony and set the record straight.

Third today following up on their report the Washington Post contacted all the other members of the Senate Armed Services Committee and none of them met with the Russian ambassador in 2016. So why did Sessions?

These three reasons are why it's reasonable to conclude that Sessions was meeting with the Russian ambassador for some reason beyond his Senatorial duties, and he did not want these meetings made public.

  2. I have to admit that I'm unfamiliar with the exact question put to Sessions that he allegedly failed to answer to the satisfaction of those now screaming for his head. Eric alludes to the possibility that it was answered at least technically, while being not enough, because it never can be, to satisfy his leftist inquisitors. That said, my position is that if he did nothing wrong, did not in fact dodge any questions or conceal anything pertinent to the actual question asked, then recusing himself is not warranted in the least. In fact, if he is innocent of any wrongdoing, then he should ignore any such calls to recuse himself in any way, given the people calling for it. While it may be good and sound practice to never give even the hint of wrongdoing while in positions of authority, it would seem that is a standard to appease only good people, not hypocritical leftists. They can go pound sand. Let them whine.

  3. The problem is that so many Trump administration officials seem to have had contact with Russia either during the election or right after.

    1. Paul Manafort was dropped from the Trump campaign after it came out he took money from a Russia backed Ukrainian.

    2. Mike Flynn was fired after it came out he was untruthful about his meetings with the Russian ambassador.

    3. Now we find out Sesisons was met with the same Russian ambassador when no one else on his Senate committee needed to.

    4. And in December Mike Flynn, the Russian ambassador, and Pres. Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner had an unrecorded meeting at Trump Tower.

    5. Trump advisers Carter Page and J. D. Gordon have also come forth and admitted meeting with the Ambassador at various times.

Considering the confirmed Russian interference with the election. When you look at these connections between the Trump campaign and administration, it becomes obvious that only an independent investigator can be trusted to verify that there is no collusion or leverage between Russia and Pres. Trump.

  4. The problem is that there is an unusual concern regarding contact with Russians.

There's also a problem with regard to Russian interference with US elections. It's not a new thing nor any more prevalent now than in the past.

I would suggest that more than a few conversations would be required to even suppose that collusion exists. In the meantime, I would hope that there is always some level of communications between our nation and our enemies as well as with our allies. I'd say it's essential.
