It Reeks, & Who Can Dispel The Apparent Hypocrisy? [Updated]

And what does it say about whatever integrity the Left possesses?

Seriously.

With all I have on my plate at work my brain is pretty much fried for a few hours each afternoon after clocking out. Add to this the overwhelming information-overload on radio and television... well, I need time to collect my thoughts, and I'm just not getting it. Still, somethings are quite clear. Like today.

I heard this on the radio... Rush. I know our resident mockers will do just that, and instruct me to 'not be sheep'. Knowing that their bottoms is just as black as mine is the only satisfaction I get...

Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

Hypocrites. And blind leaders of the blind.

Consider then the following, and dispel the apparent double standard-- the hypocrisy --if you can.

There's a poster turning up in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and other places that depicts Obama in Heath Ledger's Joker face. And the Left is naturally outraged.

So riddle me this:

Vanity Fair, July 2008 -- It was apparently acceptable, in 2008, to depict George W. Bush in Joker face. After all he was an evil man and reviled by much of the world's elite... or was he? Who's word are you going to take? Who to believe? The Left routinely called him "Chimp," and that was fine, but one cartoon of a dead chimp and mention of Obama's stimulus boondoggle, and the Left is outraged. Bush can be called Liar in Chief, but any suggestion that Obama has been lying out his backside since he put his hand on the bible on inauguration day, and I become a racist... even though I've made no reference to the color of skin. As if that really matters to the angry left.

Los Angeles, July 2009 -- But just one year later, put a picture of Obama up in Joker face and the hypocrites scurry out from under the fridge like roaches on the attack. Their own brand of "evil" is brought to light in stark relief. And the funny thing is they don't even see their hypocrisy.

From KTLA.com
...

Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson is calling the depiction, politically mean spirited and dangerous.

Hutchinson is challenging the group or individual that put up the poster to have the courage and decency to publicly identify themselves.

"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous."

"We have issued a public challenge to the person or group that put up the poster to come forth and publicly tell why they have used this offensive depiction to ridicule President Obama."

So what did Bush do that was so evil? Did he or did he not prevent another attack on U.S. Soil after 9.11? What did the Left do? They clamored all over themselves to vote to give Bush the authority to fight the War on Terror. And they voted to pass the Patriot Act. They also exposed top secret government programs to undermine the war effort, convicted an innocent man for the sole reason he that worked under Cheney, and ridiculed the president of the United States both here and abroad. They maligned our troops, calling them cold-blooded murderers; trying and convicting them in the court of public opinion long before they ever stood before a judge. They compared our troops integrity to that of Pol Pot's, and their tactics to those of Stalinist gulags.

Now their "Messiah" is president, and any cross word against him is viewed askance. Every policy Obama has pressed upon us so far has been designed to strengthen the government rather than the people... Government rather than free enterprise... Government rather than personal responsibility.

Now the messiah is growing paranoid, and becoming every bit the evil dictator he and the rest of his comrades believed of Bush.

From WhiteHouse.gov...

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

A lot of 'disinformation'? Seems to me the public is more informed about Obama's plans for single-payer government-run healthcare than are the representatives and senators who want to shove this bit of socialist-tripe down our throats. They haven't even read the bill. They didn't read Cap & Tax. They didn't read the stimulus. And what would it matter, for, according to John Conyers, it takes two days and a couple of lawyers to read and understand these bills, and who has that kind of time?

But Obama is worried. He doesn't like that "We the People" are on to his game, and he desires to solicit the help of like-minded comrades all across the fruited plains to keep on the lookout for any dissenters; spy on them, and report their conversations to the administration. For what? What will Obama do to those who disagree with his policy?

The abuse of power he could stoop to is frightening. His Czar count is into the 40's now, many of whose policy positions usurp the authority of cabinet members approved by Congress, so circumventing the Bill of Rights and the Constitution shouldn't faze him at all. Remember, he views the Constitution of the United States of America as a "charter of negative rights..."

Will we soon have a politburo, to go along with our very present state-run media? Will Obama's civilian defense force shortly be seen out in the streets, riding in the back of Toyota pickups-- hopping out when an "offender" is spotted, to beat them with clubs for their temerity (whatever the offense-Du Jour may be)? Is that how Obama intends on keeping the peace?

Of course, all this is merely a rhetorical flourish on my part-- and unflattering toward the King to be sure --since I vehemently oppose the policies he's presenting, which is but one of my Constitutional rights. But despite that admission my concerns are real, and echoed by millions more of Americans. We can't ALL be crazy, or dangerous. At some point a little honesty needs to be injected into the national argument.

But what does it say about a president who asks the public to report on their fellow citizens whose opinions differ from Obama's? When will Team Obama begin raising posters of the Messiah, not unlike those of Saddam's Iraq? Or George Orwell's 1984?

We don't need another savior. Nor do we need another Che-like hero. What we need is persistent honesty not only from our representatives and state-run media, but from Obama as well. He has lied every step of his first six months-- look how much damage his presidency has done to America in just six months! And having re-posted this image, how soon before the IRS audits me? Or the FBI shows up on my doorstep? How long before MY name is filed away for future use (reeducation?) as a 'Dissenter of the Messiah'?

This is not the America I was born to. The America wherein I was born doesn't need a "Fairness Doctrine" or it's backdoor twin under ANY pseudonym. America has the First Amendment, and that's all she needs. The Left used it freely to ridicule and undermine Bush 43, but now they seek to steal it from us. They have declared themselves the arbiters of what speech is, and what speech is not free. Well, no. I object. They are not the deciders of anything when it comes to my my right of free speech. They can't even see past the fog of their own delusions, and I'll be damned before I let the mindless work the same madness in me, or squelch my attempts to bring light back into the world. They are filled with hate, but they'd have you, the reader, believe it is I who is filled with hate. Why?

Because I disagree.

They would have you believe I'm a racist. But if you had never seen a picture or ever heard the name Obama before today, you wouldn't know anything more about his race after reading this post. My disagreement has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

Careful, therefore, what you say... Obama, or one of his mind-numbed robots may be listening, with only one thought on their infected little minds:

Deprive you of your First Amendment right to speak your mind. After all...

There is no room in Obama's America for individualism...

Unless it serves the collective.

  1. I reported my 85-year old Republican mother to flag@whitehouse.gov and asked them to "straighten her out". She said she was against euthanasia for the elderly in lieu of costly medical treatment.

  2. You and Erik Prince share an outlook.

  3. Erik Prince? Blackwater founder? What makes you say so?

  4. Looking up Erik Prince I came across this hit piece at the Examiner.com

Some hatchet man by the name of Soheil Rezaee, who doesn't know the difference between "then" and "than" [a huge pet peeve of mine], wrote a short 5 paragraph article destroying his own credibility as a writer. Oddly enough, I was the first to comment. My summation?

I hope the Examiner isn't paying this guy to write... he's abysmal.

I'm unmoved by your comparison, Feodor. 'Twas a veiled insult, but, I'm similarly unaffected by your inference.

But this is America, and you're entitled to your say. And no one here need worry that I will ever report your speech to der Großer Bruder.

[Pronunciation Note: Großer, or "Grosser" is pronounced just as it looks, except the 'r' is all but silent making the word sound like
    "Gross-ah". Same with "Brud-ah"]

Big Brother in German is Grosser Bruder... I know I'm off on a tangent here, but I can't help it. It absolutely fascinates me how German is so very similar to English (in many respects near identical) which is why I enjoyed studying it.

  5. Report me. I've been warning America about Obama and his Stalinist tactics since before he was even nominated for President.

And I will continue to protest. Loudly. Until we throw the Marxist out of office or until they come and drag me away, whichever comes first. I will not go gently into the good night.

    So, report me.

  6. I was reading the Boston Herald version.

The part that caught my eye was the religious motivations.

  7. Did I mention religion in this post?

  8. It's your worldview that makes you dangerous, as I am inferring, and it is your religion that shapes that worldview.

  9. My world view is that no government has the right to bleed it's people of the resources it needs to prosper. That this world is dying by degrees, and that if there is something worth saving it is the souls of men. That NO man is greater than another by any measure.

That you read what you apparently read into my numerous comments only reflects YOUR bias... the glasses through which YOU view my worldview. You have routinely misunderstood my positions. But that's to be expected, since you do not view the world through my eyes, nor my experiences. You have your own, and therefore, your own measure by which you judge. We're all guilty of this.

  10. It takes a bit more than seeing through one's own eyes and experiences. It takes seeing without filters of any kind, the reality of what works and what doesn't and acting accordingly.

Feodor likes to cast aspersions as that is how people like him defend their indefensible positions, by hyperbole rather than plain speaking and by denegrating in any way possible the opinions of those with whom they disagree.

A real wide-eyed view of the world can only result in a truth/fact-based understanding. This is the understanding of your average conservative (& conservative Christian I might add). Our, or at least my perspective, my worldview is aligned with my faith as well as driven by it. I see what's what and can see how my faith would have prevented many ills had more people believed as I do. My conservatism depends on a clear-eyed view of the world and results in successes where the progressive perspective causes more harm than helps, if it truly ever helps anything at all.

Regarding the topic at hand, I see one major difference that defines the character of each side of the political aisle:

When we depict an Obama as the Joker, it's a reflection of what is.

When the left depicts Bush as the Joker, it's a desire to influence opinion

Think about it: One example of Bush as "fascist" was his opinion of when life begins and how it compelled his decisions on things like abortion or embryonic stem cell research. Obviously, he's thinking of saving innocent lives. For this he's called a fascisst.

In the meantime, Obama works to provide the "right" to kill one's child even after birth and it's meanspirited to call him names?

That's far worse than hypocrisy in my book.

  11. First he gives us this:

"how people like him defend their indefensible positions, by hyperbole..."

    and then this:

"and can see how my faith would have prevented many ills had more people believed as I do..."

A brain that can't keep itself together over five sentences is really no brain at all.

Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.

We are benevolent dictators in this regard. Enjoy.
