Day of the Dunce

Well, with the passage of one of the most stupid and costly bills to come down the pike in a long time, this James Lewis article really hits the nail on the head for me. With damn near every move he makes, with almost every word he says, Barry Obama has made me wonder just what the hell his supporters were talking about when they said he was brilliant. So far, he seems only brilliant in making people think he's brilliant. I've even heard some conservatives say he's brilliant. Other than posing as a brilliant guy, I'm not getting it at all. Where's the proof? I mean, yeah, it's in the 52% of the people who fell for his shtick. But he's got nothing and continues to prove it.

But it just ain't the people. It's who the people vote for as well. The energy-tax bill passed in the House tonight, 219-212. I understand that there were quite a few Dems who voted against it. But there were two too many Republicans who voted for it. American Thinker has a blog post with the names of these vermin. One of 'em, Mark Kirk, is from Illinois, but not from my district. I'm sending money to anyone who opposes him in the next election. If he runs unopposed in the primaries, I'm voting for the Democrat. Not a third party or write in guy, I'm voting for the Dem because I DON'T want this guy in office anymore. Melissa Bean, from my district, I voted against anyway. The people who voted for this bill hate America, whether they know it or not.

I've absolutely had it with this crap. While our energy costs begin to rise, that's when ol Barry will start up with his health care crapola. Or perhaps he'll push for another BS immigration reform first so that he can insure on our dimes all those illegals who will then be citizens. My opinion of lefties and those who voted for Barry is sinking faster than the Titanic. They had all the liberal they needed in John McCain. Instead, they're giving us hell in a handbag.

  2. Jim there is nothing good that will come from this bill. Higher energy costs, forcing what manufacturing jobs we have to go oversees. If this bill does pass the senate and it turns out to be a complete failure I'm sure you will forget you once supported it.

  3. Yep. Time to clean house, and that goes for the Repubicans (Typo intended) as well.

  4. OK ED, let's do nothing. I think that each and every American should take responsibility for the air they breath. Buy masks, stay inside, filter the air in your house.

Obviously global warming is a hoax. We all know it. There is no doubt. Rather than waste our hard-earned money on improving energy generation and manufacturing efficiencies, let's cut taxes. That's the simple solution. Cutting taxes solves everything. Always has, always will.

  5. Jim,

Don't be a dunce. The point is that this country has done much more than most other nations in reducing pollution. We've done so without signing on to an economically destructive Kyoto Treaty. There is already a movement toward cleaner production methods and green conscious alterations that is being handled by the market place that makes any gov't "help" unnecessary. Atop that, there is nothing this lunatic gov't could mandate that will make the least bit of difference if our efforts thus far have done nothing to compell change in the habits of the real polluters of the world. All that will happen is that our economy will be hurt more than it has been, while other nations will simply proceed as they have been, taking advantage of the fact that they operate without the restraints Barry & Co have put on us.

As for global warming, there is nothing that we've done that has had any significant impact upon it. There is nothing we can do to change the freakin' climate. The AlGore types are idiots that are priming for a financial windfall. They are wasting our country's time and money with their blatherings about climate change. We are already on the brink economically, and Barry wants to impose even more economically destructive measures, with GW related mandates and legislation being the most egregious and unnecessary.

To put it another way, we have no freakin' money for the things that Barry wants to do. He has worthless ideas that he has no way of supporting financially. He's destroying us, and the Dem Congress is helping. Thank you so much, Barry supporters.

The left either hates this country, or they are incredibly stupid.

  6. When the messiah gets socialized medicine he can begin rationing care, like all the other countries with national healthcare. They can begin by rationing lifesaving procedures to old folks to kill them off and then... AND THEREBY... reduce the number of social security checks they have to print, THEREBY saving social security.

I know. Sounds crazy. But have you looked at this guy on TV? Have you heard him speak? One, They man IS crazy. Two, He does NOT love America. Three, he IS a murderer (and will compound that when federal bureaucrats begin deciding how young one must be to receive lifesaving treatment). Four, as he has spat upon his oath of office by doing the same, and worse, to the Constitution, he IS a traitor. Five, on a personal note, he is perhaps a lot smarter than everyone gives him credit for, but that measure of intelligence is steeped in evil and hatred. Lastly, he is not a Christian. He IS a liar of tremendous magnitude. For without that prompter he stammers and hems and haws all the while trying desperately to not get caught in a lie.

This man is, without question (accept for those who, for religious reasons, cram their heads up his ass 5 times a day), the worst disaster the office of the president has ever seen.

Face it gentlemen. America is dead. And you can thank that goat-kissing bastard in the white house for it.

  7. Marshall. The Dem's are not stupid. They know what they are doing, and they don't care if it rapes the American people or the Constitution in the process. These people are dangerous, and terrorists to boot; doing to America what no foreign invader has ever been able to do. I say we vote every last one of the bastards out. EVERY! LAST! ONE!

    ----

Barack Obama is NOT an American. He spent his formative years abroad in Muslim schools. Even when older, according to his own memoirs, he sought out the radicals for friendship and association.

He does not love America like you or I who grew up here. He does not appreciate America. He tears her down every opportunity he gets, especially overseas, and MOST especially to those we have NO BUSINESS APOLOGIZING TO!!!

  10. Marshall, I disagree with you. Some of what you say is at least a good argument, but the ad hominem stuff is useless.

In that vein, I stoop to the same: EL is a lunatic.

  11. Yes.

    Of course.

Let's just take this country down.

  12. Jim,

Fine. Pick something I've said and tell me why you disagree. What has Obama done that proves the brilliance so many believes he possesses? That is, besides convincing people that he's brilliant. Could it be foreign policy? I don't think so. He thinks our troubles with Iran will disappear if there's peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

Could it be health care? I don't think so. His claims of competition are false and easy to see as such. Who will be sticking with private insurance if the gov't is passing it out? Hint: Not YOUR employer.

Could it have been the bailouts? I don't think so. Not if GM is filing for bankruptcy anyway.

Could it be the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? I don't think so. He's doing pretty much what Bush was doing. (Which is as close to brilliant as he's come, but doesn't count since he campaigned under a different tone.)

How about Gitmo? Don't make me laugh.

    Immigration? Ditto.

He's an idiot. As far as ad hominems, I hope you're not referring to "Don't be a dunce." That's a reference to the post title. However, your answers will tell the tale there. Give it your best shot. I don't see anything brilliant about Obama whatsoever. Thus, with every stupid move he makes, my opinion of his supporters righteously diminishes.

    BTW, I don't think Eric's a lunatic. I just think he's more pissed than I am.
