Beyond AIG: A bill to let Big Government set your salary

by Byron York

The last paragraph sums up the article:

After the AIG bonus tax bill was passed, some members of the House privately expressed regret for having supported it and were quietly relieved when the White House and Senate leadership sent it to an unceremonious death. But populist rage did not die with it, and now the House is preparing to do it all again.

The comments however... "But the populist rage did not die..."

No, it has not.

How the liberal flatbrains who comment here and elsewhere can continue to support what the criminals in Washington are doing is beyond my comprehension. I don't WANT to know their reasoning for supporting these criminals.

  1. You supported criminals for eight years. Yet you accuse the current administration and congress of criminality where none exists.

  2. Again, just like here, you've said nothing of value. I supported criminals for eight years? This from the lips of a fool. Neither Bush nor Cheney were, nor are they now, criminals. But it is clear you think they were, which is why can so adore the criminals NOW running the show: Obama, [please note I am not adding Biden to this list] Frank, Dodd, all of Obama's tax-cheat appointees... etc.

It's a fine tactic you have, laughing at those who have flecks of egg on their face while yours is covered in shit. Because... if you think the current administration and its enabling congressional democrats are not overwhelmingly criminal in their handling of government, no amount of Q-Tips are going to dig the shit out from between your ears.

  3. Definitely, the notion of getting fat on the people's money is lost on these buffoons who now think they know the meaning of the term, "excessive pay". How dare they? First, they give our money to prop up failing companies, and then they pretend to care how those companies spend it. Their phoney outrage at wage levels and bonuses are merely diversions from the real mistake, which was the bailout itself. And that would be from merely doing it at all, to the sloppy manner in which it was done.

But if there is any crime that was committed, it is the crime of putting these idiots in office in the first place. So I continue to accuse the idiots who support these bastards, and their opponents for their inability to overcome them.

Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.

We are benevolent dictators in this regard. Enjoy.
