Rush Limbaugh's First Address to the Nation: CPAC - 2009

Rush Limbaugh Destroyed Liberalism, Democrats, and President Obama this afternoon. His arguments were clear, simple, and were his rhetoric knives, they'd all be dead. All this while giving Conservatives everything we need to do the same. His presentation was a beautiful one hour and twenty-two minute treatise on the superior character of Conservatism... one-hundred twenty-two succinct, accurate, and devastating blows against the machine.

This is not over by a long shot, folks.

  1. Are you endorsing conservatives murdering the president and other liberals? I'd be very much interested in reading "The Voice of Conservatism's" speech. Do you have a online source?

  2. Say what? Who said anything about endorsing conservatives murdering the president and liberals? Not Rush Limbaugh. Not me. Not any respectable conservative I've every heard of.

As for the link, I've archived it here, but I recommend the video-- text is flat, the spoken voice is not. You can find the video here, and here(part one of seven). YouTube even has it (in ten parts).

Seriously Ben, conservatives are not talking about killing the president. That's just your own fevered imagination.

  3. Your the one who praised his speech and said if his rhetoric were knives they'd all be dead. I just extrapolated your view. Did you not intend that effect?

I have to seriously wonder when your language and metaphors continually turns to the violent.

  4. You do realize, don't you, that a metaphor is not an endorsement of anything. Let alone murder.

At least you recognize a metaphor when you see one.

  5. Rush Limbaugh for President 2012!

  6. I wonder who would lose worse in a presidential election: Limbaugh or Palin? Both are wholly unelectable, insofar as they have a huge fan base, but that base only makes up maybe 15-20% of the voting public. They would both have huge UNpopularity ratings so it would make for an interesting turn if a Palin/Limbaugh type actually tried to run again in '12.

I certainly don't mind such a possibility, but I'd think that the sooner the GOP figures out that Limbaugh/Palin-types aren't electable nationally, the sooner they might be able to return to something like a second party. As it is, I fear they may go the way of the Whigs (not that I stay awake at night worrying about it...)

  7. I'd vote for a Limbaugh/Coulter ticket in 2012.

  8. Limbaugh would never run, so your speculations are pointless.

Limbaugh, though, speaks for far more than 15-20% of the electorate. His listenership is in the neighborhood of 20-30 million daily. considering how much of the population actually votes... he does speak for much more than Dan's 15-20%

  9. Rush Limbaugh would be awesome. Can you imagine when the Dems roll over to the White House for a little one-on-one? It would be a massacre (BenT, that's another metaphor, not an endorsement for murder BTW)

Rush actually have the demeanor for the job as well... he says exactly what he is thinking with no pretense. What's not to love about that? That's the problem I suppose, too good to be true.

  10. In 2008, ~120 million people voted. If Rush has 20 million listeners that comes to, let's see, 16%.

  11. When Danielsan obsesses...as he seems to be doing here...you know he must be concerned.

    Rush-2012....BOOO-YAH!

If 16% of Obama supporters knew anything about him at all, I'd be surprised.

Your First Amendment right to free speech is a privilege and comes with a measure of responsibility. You have the right to exercise that responsibility here but we reserve the right to inform you when you've used that right irresponsibly.

We are benevolent dictators in this regard. Enjoy.
