By all means, let us know if you post further videos.

I am not a redneck, but I love bluegrass!Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15633208787250567256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-570497968855832694.post-41972678005700162232009-04-27T07:17:00.000-05:002009-04-27T07:17:00.000-05:00I've always wanted one, but I've also been fearful...I've always wanted one, but I've also been fearful of them, always conscious of exactly where the barrel was pointing at every moment. But I reckon that to be a good thing, and prudent.

There are also indications that Obama is seeking a "back door closure" of the 2nd amendment, either through ammunition, or a treaty with the UN or EU. Difficulty in obtaining ammunition would make the first too aggravating a proposition to consider purchasing a gun. The latter would carry the same weight as an amendment to the constitution, leaving it to the Supreme Court to decide which should carry more weight: the treaty? or the 2nd amendment.

There's a lot of fear in the country right now, and not all of it without merit.

Furthermore, there's no guarantee Obama's efforts to fix the economy actually will, and the neighborhood I live in? ... the hood? It just pays to be safe.

As to your music...

Nice Kentucky Blue Grass sound you got going on. I'm always interested in music so drop me a note anytime you post some.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08874712703862427318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-570497968855832694.post-65749915457270629702009-04-24T13:52:00.000-05:002009-04-24T13:52:00.000-05:00I apologize for taking a break from my "descent" s...I apologize for taking a break from my "descent" sabbath, but I'm honestly curious, Eric, why have you purchased a gun? You don't seem to particularly want one and it costs a lot of money.

No condemnation in that question, I don't have a problem with gun ownership. Just curious.

Also, I've posted a couple of (hastily and poorly recorded) songs on youtube here and here, if you're interested. The first one is a Woody Guthrie song and the second one features two little instrumentals of my own invention.

I will probably post a hymn or two there soon, too. If you're interested.Dan Trabuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14303597141397042669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-570497968855832694.post-79287537442194715432009-04-23T17:41:00.000-05:002009-04-23T17:41:00.000-05:00No. Sold out. It was the best available at the price I was looking at, and from reviews I've read, it appears to be a very decent gun at this price range. I paid 350$ including tax.

I didn't buy ammo, and so haven't yet fired it. That will only happen under the tutelage of a qualified instructor. Which, I am told, is a deputy sheriff who holds bi-weekly classes at the local Ace Hardware.

And this surprises me. For a city approaching 80,000 residents (120k when you include "workday" folk), Dothan, Alabama doesn't have a shooting range. Not that I've found, anyway... I could go to the Army Base (I am told) but that's a 45-minute drive and lots of paperwork.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08874712703862427318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-570497968855832694.post-25192161230138656072009-04-23T15:01:00.000-05:002009-04-23T15:01:00.000-05:00Did you get the piece you spoke of earlier?Did you get the piece you spoke of earlier?Marshal Arthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01054268632726520871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-570497968855832694.post-86684161873953592292009-04-23T11:19:00.000-05:002009-04-23T11:19:00.000-05:00I don't own a gun. And they are easy to access.

And, I'm not afraid to use them if I need to, either...say, if some idiot thinks he can enter my home without permission or something like that.

I am a very good shot, by the way.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15633208787250567256noreply@blogger.com
