Failure in Chief

Another great analysis is found here. For a man of great brilliance, a man of whom Chris Matthews said what? "Maybe he's too intellectual?" For such a man, I would expect some manifestation of said brilliance by now. I guess the abject failure of his first year explains why one cannot get his college records publicized. What a fraud.

Obamanomics Won't Help Anything

A great analysis is found here regarding why the economy can't thrive under Obama and the many goofy ideas from him and his minions.

American Hubris, American Toast

Two headlines...

From the Washington Post: "President Who?"

From the New York Times: "Wanted: People Willing to Lead the European Union"

The Czech Republic has signed the Lisbon Treaty; they were the last holdout. And with this final signature Europe is now a nation... The United States of Europe, if you will. In honor of this momentous occasion a new Permanent President was chosen to lead the new nation of Europe... Belgian Premier Herman Van Rompuy. Chosen as High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs was Catherine Ashton, formerly of the British Labor Party.

I presume that Britain scoffed just as much upon learning the names of those who would lead the new United States of America 200 years ago. But now, it is the New York Times and the Washington Post questioning Europe's new leaders. Imagine the Hubris of a nation whose OWN leader is systematically dismantling... no DESTROYING... America, yet has the temerity to question the choice of Europe's new leaders.

Barack Obama and Liberalism is destroying this country. Obama is the worst mistake this nation has every made short of Roe.

Europe will grow strong, America will continue to grow weak. We will stumble and fall, and there will be no one to pick us up. At least, no one who really wants to pick us up. America is already toast, but no one on the Left can see it.

I know a lot of you don't believe this kind of stuff, but God is going to judge this nation very soon. If He doesn't He'll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

We deserve whatever comes our way. We're already seeing our just desserts in our new President; a godless man if ever there was one... a man apparently wholly devoid of Godly wisdom... in possession of a government that has forgotten God AND the Constitution... that actively scorns the Constitution. We deserve whatever comes our way. Europe will rise, America will fall. Troublesome times will come; persecution, deaths in the billions, the entire world at war.

Even so Lord Jesus, come.

You are all witness to events leading toward the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Obama seeks a legacy for his name? How about this one: Ignorant Yet Useful Tool For the Destruction of America, and the Chaos that Must Follow.

Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Historic Doesn't Mean "Good"

So the Senate voted to advance the health care bill. What a surprise. All 58 Dems and both independents (Lieberman and the socialist Sanders) have once again proven their incompetence by acting as if this disaster they call health care reform is actually better than doing nothing. It isn't. Not by a long shot. I mean, really, what's to debate? The thing is a crap sandwich to be sure.

Of course doing nothing isn't the way to go. Indeed, the right has suggested quite a few ways to bring down the cost of health care that will actually work, if only the dullards on the other side of the aisle would liberate their rectally located heads to understand the obvious. Tort reform, allowing business across state lines, and hey, why not cut the waste FIRST, and then see where we stand? Jeez. Where do these people come from? Oh yeah. Dem and lefty voters elect them. It's too bad that lefties need to experience third degree burns before they understand that fire is dangerous. It's worse that they burn all of us at the same time.

The Yahoo article on this sad event described the bill as "historic". 9/11 was historic, too. So was Pearl Harbor. So was the Chicago Fire. This is history we don't want to see.

Dollar Will Be Utterly Destroyed.... ?

Any thoughts? Can't brush this one off... it's CNBC for crying out loud!

Anyone have ANY perspective on the "potential" collapse of the US Dollar?

Another Questionable Appointee

As this article demonstrates, there is more reason for concern. Once again, with every move Barry makes, we move more and more in the wrong direction.

The judicial nomination highlighted in the link is another example of Barry's poor judgement and the absence of brilliance so many claim he possesses. Read the piece and then contact your Senator and encourage that the man not be confirmed. We need judges and justices that understand the Constitution. We can forgive Barry's selection because we now know he has no idea what the Constitution is all about.

"Draconian" that about sums it up.

"Back in the USSR"

Read Dick Morris' latest column.

Jail For No Insurance Under Pelosi Bill

The nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation reported that the House version of the health care bill specifies that those who don't buy health insurance and do not pay the fine of about 2.5% of their income for failing to do so can face a penalty of up to five years in prison!

The bill describes the penalties as follows:

* Section 7203 - misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

* Section 7201 - felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years." [page 3]

That anyone should face prison for not buying health insurance is simply incredible.

And how much will the stay-out-of-jail insurance cost? The Joint Committee noted that "according to a recent analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, the lowest-cost family non-group plan under HR 3862 (the Pelosi bill) would cost $15,000 by 2016."

Obama's bill only provides subsidies to help pay this enormous sum after families making about $45,000 have paid 8% of their income for insurance and after those earning a household income of about $65,000 have kicked in 12%.

The Joint Committee on Taxation noted that while the Senate Finance Committee version of the bill did not include criminal penalties, "The House Democrats' bill, however, contains no similar language protecting American citizens from civil and criminal tax penalties that could include a $250,000 fine and five years in jail."

Remember that simply buying catastrophic insurance, which may be all the young uninsured family needs, does not constitute having adequate insurance under the Obama bill. It has to be total, all inclusive insurance for one to avoid the penalties in the legislation. That is because Obama wants to use these premiums from the currently uninsured to subsidize his program.

So Ms. Pelosi is requiring Americans to pay these steep premiums, or a fine of 2.5% of their income for not doing so, or, potentially, go to prison!

Anyone who is familiar with the U.S. prison system can attest to the large number of people incarcerated for similar white collar offenses. That the House bill would treat failure to carry health insurance or pay the fine as tax evasion or willful nonpayment is amazing!

And where is the constitutional basis for requiring everyone to buy insurance? It is OK for a state to make drivers pay for automobile insurance. Driving is not a right, it is a privilege, and the state may regulate it by demanding insurance. Banks can require homeowners to buy insurance as a condition of their lending. But how does the federal government get the right to require a family to buy health insurance or face a civil penalty and, failing that, to face either a criminal fine or jail?

The tough penalties in the House bill are designed to keep insurance companies from opposing the bill. It was the relaxation of these penalties in the Senate Finance Committee version of the legislation that led the companies to reverse field and come out in opposition to the legislation. The insurance companies want to see their coffers swell when tens of millions of new customers are required to buy insurance. The more draconian the penalties for failing to pay them large sums of money to pad their bottom lines, the better.

The more you read this bill, the worse it gets.

Folks. I don't claim to be prescient, but all the clues were there PRIOR to last November's election. Does anyone in this God-forsaken country KNOW what the constitution says? Does anyone care? If this ever gets signed by President Stalin, this country is gone... Your freedoms are gone, your liberty is gone... the American Dream is gone. Enter despair for those with eyes to see and minds to understand... enter ignorant bliss and mindless adoration for a government actively pissing on all the rest... us included. Can't tell the difference between the two? The ones with any sense and ability to think for themselves will be holding aloft umbrellas.

Question For Barry Supporters

I got this in an email and thought I'd put it here for input from Barry O supporters:

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had created the position 32 or more Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America , would you have approved.

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had spent more than all the Presidents combined since George Washington, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 10 months -- so you'll have 3 years and 2 months to come up with an answer.

Direction

Many are hailing the recent Republican victories in New Jersey, Virginia and elsewhere. The Maine victory for traditional marriage is especially uplifting, particularly considering it's, well, Maine. Many are hoping it signals a change in direction for America. I think the best we can say at this point is that it's a nice hiccup and see what happens with continued pressure from the grassroots. I'm optimistic.

Yes, I'm optimistic but in a pessimistic way. That is, things will improve (more will begin to vote for conservative candidates) only after things get much worse.

Libs like to say that they support Obama because they approve of the direction he wants to take this country. But none of them really knew who the hell they were voting for and still don't. They listened to his campaign rhetoric and pretended he was saying something and yelled, "I'm for THAT!" People like Limbaugh and Beck can document all they like the actions and associates that illustrate the real man, but they pretend they know who Limbaugh and Beck are and believe lies they hear about them. And then they go on believing Obama says things when he opens his mouth and they pretend he's done something as a president that has made a difference. Well, OK, he has done a thing or two that has made a difference, but I meant that his supporters somehow believe he's made positive differences.

Among these "differences" are his czars. He's got more czars in ten months than Russia had in her entire history. And the calibur of these people is beyond words. This Phyllis Schlafly piece speaks of another appointee of Obama's. How can anyone look at the people with whom Barry has surrounded himself, both in his past, with scumbags like Bill Ayers, the not-so-reverend Wright, Tony Retzko, and his present, namely, all his czars, then add to that positions he's taken, like his abortion stance, his stim and bailout plans, his takeovers of the financial and auto industries and his attempt to take over health care, how can anyone look at all that and say they like the direction he's taking us? How can anyone do that and say they love America? At what point do such people ever consider the possible consequences of the things a guy like this can do?

It might seem harsh to say that libs hate America. Naive is likely the most accurate term, but the damage their naivete will inflict feels like hatred to me. Frankly, when rank stupidity results in the amount of harm that's been done followed by the harm that's coming should health care reform as they want it passes, it really doesn't matter whether the pain was a result of malicious intent or incompetent ignorance. All I know is there's pain and suffering.

A great disservice was done to America by it's own people a year ago. Most of those responsible don't even know it. Others are living in a freakin' dream world believing there's improvement afoot. I've met a few who are without a doubt feeling buyer's remorse and regret their vote. If I've sounded harsh and hateful in this and recent postings, it's not likely to get any better, because I have my regrets, too. The midterm elections of '06 marks the real notable moment in history. It marked the time when the party that should have done their job, because the other party doesn't even know how, didn't. What came next was a change of power to the incompetents. Now they run the whole show and the shit has hit the fan. It's spraying all over the walls and it'll take a huge effort to clean it up. That effort should have taken place well before those '06 elections. THAT'S when there should have been tea parties and increased citizen participation. THAT'S when we could have made sure this country was headed in the right direction. We took our hands off the freakin' wheel and now the children have grabbed it and we're headed for a major crash. Yeah. It's our fault.

A Historic Event?

Tonight, or rather Saturday night, we learn that the House passed the 19,000 page health care reform bill. I believe this was Pelosi's baby. I believe it will take a long time to find a job.

The passage of this bill was described as historic by Pelosi and she's absolutely right. It will cause all sorts of problems for our economy despite her promise that it won't add to the deficit. Frankly, I don't believe she's read the damned thing anymore than anyone who supports it has. When the hell do they have the time to read such monstrocities?

Now it goes to the Senate and they will jack around with their version which, if it passes also, will then be meshed somehow with the House version and then rammed down our collective throats. They don't freakin' care.

We on the right get all sorts of heat from our liberal opponents when we say the Obama and the Dems hate our country. Yet, they expect us to believe otherwise when burdensome, economy busting legislation like this shit is rushed through without real debate. There is no way any law, any bill, any proposal of any kind needs to be over a couple dozen pages at the most. That it can be as lengthy as this death to America bill means trouble as the average American can never easily wade through it, with many simply unable to understand what the hell they're even looking at. The scum in Washington know this and so they make sure it's big as hell and ram it through as fast as they can. They know they can because they have the votes. If anyone, like a Republican, insists they slow down so everyone can read it, digest it and debate it properly, they scream of Republican obstruction. They hate us. They want only to rule over us. They are despotic bastards. At best, they are incompetent, arrogant bastards. But they're bastards everyone.

Our best hope now is the Supreme Court and some good legal people demonstrating how unConstitutional it is for the Federal gov't to assume it can in any way demand that I buy anything. They are way the hell overstepping their bounds here. I am offended to say the least that they would dare require me to do anything other than abide the rights of others.

More and more I feel contempt for those I know, and that includes close family members, who have casted votes for this asshole president and for that matter, any Democrat at all. We are in for a hell of a ride. I pray to Almighty God that people feel the hurt immediately so as to compell them to vote out as many of these jerks as they can as soon as they can beginning with the upcoming mid-terms.

Yeah, it's historic. It marks a further downturn in American prosperity, liberty and strength. Thanks Dem voters.

America haters.

Sending A Message

"The character inherent in the American people has done all that has been accomplished; and it would have done somewhat more, if the government had not sometimes got in its way." ~ Henry David Thoreau

Probably, by now, both of my readers have learned of the Republican victories in yesterday's Gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey.

Here in Virginia, the Republican party made a clean sweep, winning the Governors race, as well as Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General.

This makes me very happy. I believe it's the first time since I've been voting that all the candidates I voted for have won.

In New Jersey, the mostly Liberal Democrat and "moderate" voters have joined with Republicans to oust corruption plagued Governor Corzine, and install a Republican Governor.

I was at work when my wife called me and told me of the Republican victory in Virginia. My boss was standing nearby when I received the call, and he looked at me with a quizzical expression when I disconnected. When I told him the news, he responded, "It's not surprising. Obama has screwed up this country so much, it's no wonder people are voting Republican. They will vote for Republicans in the next Presidential elections, too."

I've read a couple of articles so far that also suggest these victories are significant losses for Barack Hussein Obama.

The general consensus seems to be that these outcomes will send the message to the White house that American voters are not happy with the way Obama is presiding over our country.

I disagree.

Barack Hussein Obama is much too arrogant and narcissistic to consider the results of these elections a personal loss for him or his administration. Although Obama personally campaigned on behalf of the losing candidates in these races, he will not even consider that he had any effect whatsoever on their outcomes. He will probably blame the losses on incompetent or inadequate campaigning by the Democratic candidate's campaign personnel, or on Fox News.

If it was sent to Obama, I don't think he will get the message.

I do, however, think these Republican victories will send a message to the United States Senate and House of Representatives.

They have been ignoring the will of the majority for too long now.

They have been thumbing their collective noses at we the people.

They have been running things their way, and now it's coming back to haunt them in a big way.

I believe last night's elections are just the beginning of a long needed house cleaning. More will come. There will be a changing of the guard.

Perhaps now the Legislature will sit up and take notice. Perhaps now they will listen to the voice of the people.

If they value their jobs. If they wish to be re-elected.

The message has been delivered.

The question now is: Will they listen?
