Separation of Powers? Obama's King!

He don't need no stinkin' separation of powers!

Bailout Boundary Dispute
--George Will, March 29, 2009
Townhall.com

It is high time Americans heard an argument that might turn a vague national uneasiness into a vivid awareness of something going very wrong. The argument is that the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (EESA) is unconstitutional.

By enacting it, Congress did not in any meaningful sense make a law. Rather, it made executive branch officials into legislators....

...The Supreme Court has said: "That Congress cannot delegate legislative power to the president is a principle universally recognized as vital to the integrity and maintenance of the system of government ordained by the Constitution." And the court has said that properly delegated discretion must come with "an intelligible principle" and must "clearly delineate" a policy that limits the discretion. EESA flunks that test.

Have we elected a president or an emperor? Are our elected leaders in both the house and senate entirely ignorant of their proper roles within our government? They sure as hell knew it under Bush! So what gives? Do they love this man they've elected king so much that they unconstitutionally abdicate their constitutional authority and responsibility to this pretender on the throne?

These folks are traitors to their oaths; to protect and defend the Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic (including themselves). On top of this, Geithner says to the American people that a one-world currency is out of the question, but in front of a world body he says America would be willing to consider it? Is he serious!?

Look at all the pretty criminals we've stood up to represent us!

Beyond AIG: A bill to let Big Government set your salary

by Byron York

The last paragraph sums up the article:

After the AIG bonus tax bill was passed, some members of the House privately expressed regret for having supported it and were quietly relieved when the White House and Senate leadership sent it to an unceremonious death. But populist rage did not die with it, and now the House is preparing to do it all again.

The comments however... "But the populist rage did not die..."

No, it has not.

How the liberal flatbrains who comment here and elsewhere can continue to support what the criminals in Washington are doing is beyond my comprehension. I don't WANT to know their reasoning for supporting these criminals.

Americarcare?

Oh, my! (LOL!)

To HELL with healthcare...let's see how Americarcare goes!

Elected By Fools

In a recent post down below, Mark was accused of being racist. This Kyle-Anne Shiver piece reviews what was so obvious to Obama opponents during the campaign. Nothing that is going on now is a surprise to right-wingers, but still, only a few so-called moderates and even fewer lefties are feeling that a big mistake was made last November. That is, most of Obama's supporters still think he was the best man for the job, even out of their own sorry line-up of candidates. Idiots put America in this situation and they solidified power of the worst in our government.

There is still discussion of Limbaugh's hope that Obama fails. The faux outrage by those who felt exactly the same way about Bush is besides the point. The point is, which would be better? That he fails or that he succeeds? If Obama fails, that is, fails to get his agenda passed as he wants it, then any slowdown in economic recovery, any bump in the road could be seen as a need to implement his full agenda. But if he succeeds to get his wishes enacted, the suffering would be way too unbearable by the time his sheep realized what caused it. In a sense, it would be better that his idiotic ideas are passed swiftly in order to hurt as many people as it can, and it will hurt many, so that there is no doubt that a change must come and the mid-terms a good time to get started.

One of the worst things I must endure while being unemployed is the constant stories from well-wishers of how tough it is out there and how many people each knows who is out of work. So it's tough out there and a lot of people are out of work. People are feeling the hurt. Many blame Bush, but while they are, they fail to realize that Barry has been doing the same things times ten. But those sorry individuals are the same that will begin to scream at Barry as their pain increases. They won't care who started it. They'll only care that Barry ain't gettin' it done. They might as well start screamin' now, because Barry and Timmy Geitner ain't got clue one.

And to think: all this was forseen by anyone willing to look at the messiah closely. Like AIDS, this was totally preventable.

House and Senate Pass Service Bill Very Similar to Hitler's Youth?

From Christian Worldview Network

Is this the private, well-funded, civilian military Obama promised during the campaign? Brannon Howse reveals the largely unknown story of how the Obama's are taking national their radical, socialist, and anti-Christian worldview training that was birthed through their organization "Public Allies". The training will include "social justice" instruction which is code word for Communism, socialism and Marxism. Obama's friend, and self-declared Communist, Bill Ayers is now one of the leading social justice authors of textbooks being used nationally.

Much of this began years ago with the help of socialist John Dewey and William James. James wrote "The Moral Equivalent of War" in which he called for compulsory youth service that used the military model of discipline, drilling and training. While he was anti-military he knew the value of the techniques that teach military members to follow orders, work for the common good of the group, and reject individuality and self-interest for collectivism. James even acknowledges the need for some criminal cruelty to win their war on capitalism and traditional virtues.

The newly passed legislation calls for a committee to study making this youth service mandatory. The Obama/Biden website called for 50 hours of yearly volunteerism for middle school and high school. Sounds harmless enough right? Not until you realize the volunteerism is for liberal leftist, inner-city organizations that are seeking to indoctrinate young minds with the acceptance of the growth of the welfare-state by emotionally manipulating them with the need for redistribution of wealth. The war is the haves against the have nots just as Saul Alinsky called for in his book, Rules for Radicals.

The New York Times reports that this legislation will cost $5.7 billion from 2010 to 2014 and will engage 7 million in this indoctrination. The paper also reports that the majority of Republicans and Democrats voted for this legislation and Rick Warren was an "enthusiastic supporter of this effort". The legislation also forbids students that are going through this government brainwashing from "engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship."

This bill goes back to the House and then to the Senate after conference. You must demand your two U.S. Senators and your U.S. Representative vote against this bill when it comes back to them in the coming days.

This is scary folks. Take a look at HR 1388, and look at...

SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS

Among the list of "prohibited activities" is

‘(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

That's right. Obama wants to mandate (read: "Compulsory") every student to complete 50 hours of service a year. Add to this the indoctrination the Obama administration wants to pound into their heads...

What this means is any child from middle school on up will be prohibited from "engaging in religious instruction" and "engaging in ANY form of religious proselytization..." read: "Witnessing," "Sharing One's Faith."

This is perhaps the most dangerous policy this president is pursuing. This is straight out of Hitler's Germany. And I don't care how that makes me sound. There's your private, well-funded, civilian security service.

Obama is the most dangerous man in America today. And I have no doubt the Dan Trabues of this country will applaud and support this effort.

Here is an update: From an article at InfoWars.com posted November 6, 2008....

If Obama’s soon-to-be chief of staff stabs a knife into a table as a form of punctuation while denouncing the enemies of his former boss, Bill Clinton, it does not take a lot of imagination to predict how Obama’s Civilian Security Force will be used.

Is it possible the acorn does not fall far from the tree? Emanuel’s father belonged to a terrorist organization that killed the opposition, including women and children. Is it possible this psychopathic mindset was passed on to his son and will now manifest itself in Obama’s Civilian Security Force?

Did you know Rohm Emmanuel wrote a book back in 2006 entitled, The Plan: Big Ideas for America. This is the same man who, speaking of the growing economic disaster, said:

"Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it’s an opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before."

My last word on this? This effort by the Obama's is demonic.

Gateway Pundit also has a perspective on this dangerous bill.

Charles Krauthammer: "It will be rude."

Writing in the WashingtonExaminer columnist Noemie Emery, has an honest critique of the "Messiah." Even Democrats are turning on the man.

Excerpt...

In short, the idea of Obama, the eloquent, elegant, trans-racial hero, able to inspire his way around anything, ran into reality and was dissolved by it, revealing a not-well-prepared neophyte politician with an embarrassing penchant for gaffes.

The markets are down, the price tags are up, the British are piqued, and the independents are heading back to the Republicans, who now have a (slight) lead in the generic ballot, for the first time in nearly three years.

Obama’s teleprompter has its own blog, its own code name---Totus--- and is building a following. One laughs with it, and at him, which cannot be promising. For a would-be Messiah, this is hardly good news.

Way back last year---it was called the campaign--- some people, John McCain and Hillary Clinton, to name only two of them, seemed to suggest that something like this might happen, that there were risks to electing someone with no record or background to speak of, who had never done anything well except talk. They were dismissed as too old and too cranky, jealous that they too did not have a fan base of cult-like intensity.

This was probably right---at least about jealousy---but it doesn’t mean they were wrong on the rest. They were waiting for the bubble to burst, which it did, but too late for their benefit.

How I wish America would wake up and blunt the trauma this man will impose upon this country. Even some democrats are beginning to see this not as Obama's presidency, but Carter's second term.

What a disaster.

This Is Just Way Cool!

Do we have ANYONE like this in our government that will stand up and speak out in such forceful terms? Anyone that will cut through the crap? Check it out.

A Response To A Gray Headed Brother

Every time I read some Lib say something like "We haven't learned" or "America is still racist", it makes my blood boil. A few years ago, an article appeared in our local paper, entitled "America Should Honor King's Teachings".

The article was written by a Mr. David Love, who I later found out was a Philadelphia lawyer who had written the article to commemorate Martin Luther King day, and it had somehow been syndicated in many papers across the country.

I say "somehow" because his astounding lack of knowledge about our history didn't deserve publication, in my opinion. Following are some highlights from my response:

To the Editor:

According to your guest columnist, David A. Love, in the article entitled, "America Should Honor King's Teachings", (Herald Mail, Monday Jan. 16) "Americans have learned few lessons" since the death of Martin Luther King Jr.

Is that so, Mr. Love?

Today, a black man can enter any restaurant or lunch counter anywhere in America, including the deep south, and sit down next to a white man without fear of being lynched. Or even frowned upon.

And we haven't learned?

No more are there two sets of bathrooms or drinking fountains, one labeled white and one labeled colored. Today a black man can drink from any water source he wants to without fear of angering any white people. In fact, it is doubtful that any white people would give him a second glance.

And we haven't learned?

There are no more lynchings, no more black church bombings, no more middle of the night abductions of black people followed by brutal beatings.

And we haven't learned?

No one forces black girls to sit in the back of the bus, or stands in the doorway of schools to block their entrance.

And we haven't learned?

Today Black writers can write editorials that make outrageously racially biased statements without fear of retribution. You couldn't have written your piece in a mainstream newspaper in 1960, Mr. Love.

What haven't we learned?

Yes, Mr. Love, there are isolated incidents where some backward, ignorant racist, white people burn crosses in front yards and scrawl racist graffiti on black people's houses, etc. But those instances are few and far between. And there are more, much more incidents of black racists committing racially motivated crimes nowadays.

Mr. Love also writes, "The devastation in New Orleans and the rest of the Gulf Coast brought to light the lingering problems of race and class."

Recently some interesting information was reported in newspapers and on television and radio news outlets across the country: More white people were effected adversely by the hurricanes than blacks.

What lingering problems, Mr. Love?

Next, Mr. Love makes this claim:

"And the nation squanders away it's resources on the failed war in Iraq."

Oh really? What exactly, is Mr. Love's criteria for what constitutes a "failed war"?

For the first time since Saddam Hussein gained power in Iraq, free and independent elections have been held. Not just one. Three of them in the last year.

A murderous, vicious, sadistic dictator, who had hundreds of thousands of his own people slaughtered has been deposed.

Torture and rape rooms all over Iraq have been shut down. Women, who up until now, have been treated as second class citizens at best and pack animals at worst, have attained personhood in Iraq.

And all this at the cost of many less American lives than have died in any of America's previous wars.

And we haven't learned?

His last point:

"On March 31, 1968 King preached his final sermon...four days before his assassination. In the sermon, he noted that, 'one of the great liabilities of life is that all too many people find themselves living amid a great period of social change, and yet they fail to develop the new attitudes, the new mental responses, and the new situation demands. They end up sleeping through a revolution.'"

Mr. Love (and let me now add, Mr. Gray Headed Brother), it's time to wake up from your 35 year nap, and see what Americans have learned.

Now, allow me to expound further.

Thanks to affirmative action, (a particular piece of legislation that was specifically intended to force whites to elevate blacks to superiority over whites regardless of qualifications) blacks have even more opportunity in every facet of American life than ever before, from jobs where they get first choice regardless of level of competence, to first choice in University admissions, regardless of aptitude.

It is blacks themselves who keep the black people down. Our American government has bent over backwards to appease our black brothers, but still they scream racism every time they see an opportunity to play the victim and extract some further special favors. We have created an entitlement mentality in the black community.

And, for the love of God, can someone explain for me, please, why it is only called "racism" if it is whites discriminating against blacks?

Because, the way I see it, blacks discriminate against whites much more often than the other way around, and few people are labeling that attitude racism.

Indeed, out of respect for the black race in this country, white America no longer uses a dictionary of racial words to describe blacks. On the other hand, have blacks stopped calling whites honky, cracker, whitey, or peckerwoods? Even the word, "white" is often spat as if it were a racial epithet itself. Have any whites screamed "racism" at that?

Brother, stop playing the victim and join the majority of Americans in the fight against injustice of every color.

Two Comments Left at a Followers Blog...

[What follows are two comments left at a "Follower's" blog, blended here into one stream of thought, with very little editing-- primarily for clarity. I post it here only because it's too good to be lost should the host decide to delete them.]

America is not a racist country. A country-- its gestalt... collective mind --cannot hate anyone or anything. It simply is, and nothing more. I don't "hate" Barack Obama. I have no reason to. But I do have reason to fear and hate some of the things he is doing to this country. But this is not the point I wish to make.

Racism is a tragic, HUMAN flaw, not a country's, which, like racism, is illusory-- it only has those borders and meanings WE give it. America in not racist, America is FREEDOM... or used to be.

To quote Edward James Olmos,

"Race and racism are illusory concepts, created by oppressors to encourage hostility toward other cultures. There is only one race, and that is the human race."

And he's right. There is only one race. GOD only created ONE race of men, and He loves us all IRRESPECTIVE of the colors of our individual skin. It is easy to hate, hard to love and, sadly, it's the simple minds that find it easiest to hate. But there it is, the truth I've been driving at:

Only minds can hate. And the last time I checked, each of us has the power and capacity to do one or the other. But only as we CHOOSE to do one or the other. As some have chosen to jump on Joe, despite the fact that he uttered an undeniable truth:

"America is a country where ANYBODY who works hard, never gives up and has the right attitude can be a Secretary of State, a Congressperson, a CEO, a doctor, a lawyer, a small business person or the president, regardless of race."

THAT is as true a statement there is. If you feel you're being held back, you are. YOU are holding yourself back. There is nothing you cannot do, except those things from which you hold yourself back. In America, anything is possible. Anything.

"Listen to the MUSTN'Ts, child
Listen to the DON'Ts
Listen to the SHOULDN'Ts
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON'Ts.
Listen to the NEVER HAVEs,
Then listen close to me
Anything can happen, child.
ANYTHING can be."

--Shel Silverstein (1930-1999)

Steven Biko and hundreds of others died at the hand of racism. South Africa wasn't racist... not the land, but it's government and people were. On BOTH SIDES of the racial divide. One out of fear, the other out of retribution. And yet it took a WHITE MAN to tell the truth about the government's racism, and murder of Steven Biko. A white man. A member of the same race as Biko. The human race. The only race God created.

Anyone can give into racism-- and many do --but in the end God isn't going to pat us on the head and say, "well, I know you tried, and that's enough..." No. It's NOT enough. He's going to ask us why we didn't use the gifts he gave us in spite of the obstacles laid before us; gifts that know no human bounds in the mind and will of God.

America is not Apartheid South Africa. EVERYONE has the right and ability to pursue their dreams here. And Barack Obama is the epitome of that dream.

One more thing. You left a message at American Descent, saying the site looks like a lot of hate. Even still, you were willing to follow the blog in hopes that we might "see the light and change."

But then I come here to check you out and I find beneath your profile much of what you claim to have found at our place.

When were you EVER commanded to bow down to George Bush? Never. You, sir, are an American, and you bow to NO one.

The past has NOT been swept under the rug, America has simply moved on. It's in the past. It is not relevant to today. America HAS come a long way.

Obviously our experiences are vastly different. You've seen things I have not. My father was military, and the first ten years of my life were spent overseas. I didn't see what you saw. But I'll tell you what I DID see.

When I was thirteen years old I went to a Jr. High School in a predominantly black neighborhood. I had no trepidation whatsoever about going there for the simple reason I knew little or nothing about blacks. I stuttered as a kid and was naturally the butt of everyone's joke. But imagine my surprise when, on my first day at this new school, I found myself hated NOT because of my speech impediment, but for the color of MY skin.

The problems of race in this country go BOTH ways.

Now, you obviously can't forget the things you saw as a child, and I'd never ask you to. But there has to come a time when folk on BOTH sides look back and say, "I'm not who they were... I am not a victim... I am not an oppressor, I am not less than he is, I am not better.

The fact that a HALF black, HALF white man is now president should tell us all something. He makes you proud? Wonderful! Me too, in as far as seeing a "black" man sitting in the Oval Office. This is a very proud event for ALL of America, if not all Americans. But don't confuse my dislike of his policies with the color of his skin. Do that, and you only show that YOU have not moved on. The onus then is on YOU.

You don't like Bush? Fine. No one says you have to. But I'll go out on a limb here and assume it's NOT because of the color of his skin but, rather, it's the "color" of his policies. And guess what? My dislike for Obama-- and the same goes for millions like me --is based solely on the "color" of HIS policies.

You think America is racist? Do you realize that the Jim Crow laws were imposed by Democrats? That Democrats largely OPPOSED Civil Rights legislation? That Democrats FOUGHT to keep slavery on the books?

If I vote Republican, it has NOTHING to do my party affiliation. In truth, I believe BOTH parties to be thoroughly and unequivocally corrupt. I refuse to vote for a party. But I will vote for a man. If the man has the right attitude. The right vision. And the right heart.

Sadly, for me at least, I did not, and still don't believe Obama to be in possession of the right qualities... the qualities I look for in an elected official.

Do you realize that abortion affects the black community at a ratio of two to one over the white and "other" communities? Abortion is a veritable genocide upon the black community. And yet you love the man who, on at least two occasions, voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act... who supports Partial Birth Abortion... who even reversed the policy Bush set in place to keep our tax dollars from going to OTHER COUNTRIES to fund abortions on FOREIGN soil.

I want to believe Obama is a good man. I want to believe he is the Christian he says he is. But I cannot, in my feeble human capacity, understand how a "Christian" can say he loves Christ/God and still support the murder of innocent life.

Be that as it may, who am I to judge Obama? I am a sinner every bit as much as he. Despite that admission, I am still commanded by God to mark them that do not walk in the way. To call them to repentance, and failing that, have no fellowship with him. For that reason alone, I was unable to vote for Obama [though in truth, that was not the sole reason]. But I assure you, the color of his skin had absolutely NOTHING to do with my vote.

Can you say the same? Judging strictly by what I read beneath your profile, I'd say not. But again...

Who am I to judge. I am not your God, or your confessor. I am not your king, ruler, owner, what-have-you.

I don't know your faith. But if you are born again. YOU are my brother. I am YOUR brother. And like it or not we're going to be spending an eternity in each others company. Don't you think our time would be a better spent getting to know and love each other here and now?

What say you?

Immigration Reform

I just saw a report of a 12 city tour by Congressman Luis Guttierrez (D) whereby he is on a petition drive to put an end to immigration raids that apparently cause the breakup of families. I don't know where all the cities are he's visiting. They may all be in Illinois for all I know. One of his latest must have been in or near the city of Chicago for it featured Cardinal George as an ally against this practice.

Well, I'm all for immigration reform. There obviously needs to be some upgrade in the manner of doing this business, but I don't know if what I have in mind matches what Luis is looking for. The main problem seems to be that there aren't enough being let in legally, apparently, so sneaking in against the laws of this nation is the alternative. OK. Let's raise the numbers of those we let in by a thousand or two per year, just for starters. But we, that is the USofA, gets to decide who is fit to be allowed entrance.

But the numbers isn't really the problem, is it? The real problem is that we have a border at all and don't allow unabated entry. We could likely raise the numbers we let in legally to 50,000 per year and still have another 50,000 or more sneaking in any way they can.

So I want to re-iterate what I think most conservatives have in mind for immigration. The first thing we do is complete the fence. When we're done, build another along side the first. Send the military to patrol the border in greater numbers than is already there. This could be federal troops or state national guard units. They would support and co-ordinate with the Border Patrol service now in charge.

Secondly, withhold federal funding from cities that insist on being sanctuary cities. If they persist, arrest the mayor.

Thirdly, of course, is to fine heavily those companies that hire illegals. For a second offense, quadruple the fine. Third offense, arrest the owners, chairman of the board, or the entire board of directors. But first quadruple the fine again.

Fourth, enforce existing laws already on the books and send the illegals, not necessarily back home, though that would be humane, just out. Luis and his chums like to boo-hoo about the thousands of kids whose parents have been sent back home, leaving them behind to fend for themselves. Here's the trick: send the kids back with their parents. When the kids are of age to take care of themselves, they can return if they were born here. (I'm rethinking my position on anchor babies.) The whine is that we can't possibly deport over 12 million people. I say why not and who cares? It really doesn't matter. What matters is that we begin doing it. How many CAN we deport and when can we get started? The more people that are deported, after maybe confiscating their property like they do with drug dealers, the more illegals will make arrangements to go home before all their stuff is taken, too.

Fifth, make English the official language. All official documents must be in English. All federal, state and local signs must be in English. Anything governmentally generated. On this point I want to be plain that I don't have a problem with people in this country learning mulitple languages. That would be great. But it's not up to the country to teach English to immigrants. It's up to immigrants to the learn the language of the country in which they wish to live.

This, of course, is a rough draft, but it contains all the elements of a good, solid immigration policy. Only after all the above is done should we even begin to think about altering our yearly quotas for letting people in the country. What seems to be taking place with people like Luis Guttierriez is that these people already here, who have had relatives deported, who "live in the shadows", are somehow oppressed because they are expected to abide our laws. I feel badly for the kids who are caught in the middle and are now used as pawns to play on the sympathies of a compassionate nation. But what they suffer has been inflicted upon them by their own parents.

What's worse is the situations from which many illegals have fled. But that, too, is something for which we cannot take responsibility. At least not to the extent that we just throw open the doors and begin granting scholarships and Social Security. Frankly, I don't think we can afford that right now.

Thomas Paine Speaks Out - Bonuses For Failure, Part 2

Democrats complain about Republicans being criminals? Wake Up America! You are losing yourself to the evil ideologies of BOTH parties, but primarily the Democrats. They don't listen to you. They don't care about you. You are nothing to them. Wake up and take back what is left of your country. Before they kick in your door and drag you away into the night because you said or did what any American thirty years ago had the right to say or do.

"The biggest traitors among you hold elective office!"

Bonuses For Failure

"There can be no real individual freedom in the presence of economic insecurity." ~ Chester Bowles

When I was in mid-level management for a national corporation (now defunct), the company had a payroll system that included a base salary, commissions, perks, and a bonus system.

The bonuses were based on achievement. If we did our jobs exceptionally well, we received bonuses, the amounts of which were directly affected by going over our established quotas. We had a monthly bonus system, and a quarterly bonus system, and a yearly bonus system. We had what we called a monthly, quarterly, and yearly TSQ (Targeted sales quota)that we had to surpass in order to be eligible for a bonus.

I said, "surpass".

That means, the amount of the bonus was determined by the percentage of earnings over the TSQ. If I went ten percent over TSQ, for example, I received a bonus commiserate with that overage. Fifteen percent garnered me a graduated bonus accordingly. And so on.

Many of the other managers made six figure salaries when their various bonuses were figured in by the end of the year. Of course, they were regional and district managers. I never rose above department manager. Although I did manage to receive some monthly, and a couple of quarterly bonuses in my thirteen years in the business, I never made six figures in a year. I also earned a couple of incentive trips. One a Carribean cruise, and one to the Ixtapa resort in Mexico. Plus a nomination for one national award, in which I finished second in the company.

But I digress.

All of a sudden, the upper management employees of AIG are on the hot seat for receiving bonuses, ostensibly paid for by us, the American taxpayers.

Now, I don't understand this at all. Why are any employees of AIG receiving bonuses in the first place? They lost money.

What kind of company rewards bonuses for failure?

Barack Hussein Obama and Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd are now sanctimoniously decrying the payment of these bonuses, as well they should, since they were two of the most vocal in favor of authorizing the bail-out of the financially ailing AIG.

But their protestations ring hollow.

Dodd and Obama are the top two recipients of campaign donations from AIG. Dodd received the most campaign donations and Obama ran a close second.

And now, we find out that Dodd is the Senator who inserted, in the bail-out bill, the exception that authorized the payment of these bonuses.

Now, of course, he's saying he didn't.

He is saying he doesn't know how that exception got into the bill. If we are to believe Dodd (who, of course, has nothing to gain from lying about his role in the current scandal), the provision to go ahead and pay bonuses somehow magically appeared in the bill without authorship.

I have heard rumors that the bonuses awarded to the AIG executives were specified in their current contracts. Perhaps this is true, but once again, what kind of company would agree to terms with employees to go ahead and pay bonuses when they lose money?

My own contracts specifically provided for bonuses if I surpassed the TSQ on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Nowhere was there any clause that directed the company to pay me extra if I failed to achieve my goal. The only bonus I would have received in that case would have been to keep my job.

If AIG agreed to pay their executives huge bonuses for losing money and driving the company to the brink of bankruptcy, it was a stupid agreement, and they don't deserve to be bailed out.

Which is what I've been saying all along.

In a free market system, there is no valid reason for the government to bailout any company, regardless of the circumstances. It is not the governments job to save irresponsible businesses.

If they fail, that is the price they pay for overspending and poor management.

Now Obama and Dodd have gotten us into this mess, from which there seems to be little hope of recovery.

And why?

I don't know.

But, if they've done it because of some kind of perceived obligation to AIG and other companies in return for their generous contributions to their respective campaigns, Obama should be impeached and Dodd should be jailed.

This is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, anyway. AIG sent billions of that bail-out money to foreign banks. The bail-out money paid in bonuses for incompetent employees at AIG is a merely a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money sent to other countries.

This whole thing reeks of incompetency, graft, malfeasance, and scandal.

We must recall all monies handed out to all the various recipients of all bail-out money. We must rein in this incompetent and irresponsible government.

We must stop the bleeding.

UPDATE: Apparently, Chris Dodd has abandoned his previous defense that someone sneaked that provision into the Omnibus bill. According to NewsMax:

WASHINGTON -- For a while, the disappearance of an executive bonus restriction from last month's economic stimulus looked like sleight of hand worthy of a Las Vegas stage. No one could explain how the provision faded into thin air. On Wednesday, Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., acknowledged that his staff agreed to dilute the executive pay provision that would have applied retroactively to recipients of federal aid.

Dodd, the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, told CNN that the request came from Obama administration officials whom he did not identify.

OK, so I will allow the Judge to reduce his sentence, and, if Dodd is telling the truth (finally), Obama should go to jail, too.

Further Into Godlessness - Part II

Obama's Attack on Medical Civil Liberties
--Newt Gingrich and Rick Tyler

Candidate Barack Obama offered a compelling but formless message of hope and change. Many Americans desiring a new national direction filled his empty rhetorical vessels with their dreams and aspirations. It worked.

But now, obliged by his office, President Obama is giving those words definition and shape bewildering even some of his most ardent supporters.

While the media remain fixated on a slumping economy that gets sicker with each punishing presidential prescription, a different set of defining and similarly freedom-diminishing policy directives emerging from the White House goes dissimilarly unnoticed.

Earlier this month, the President took the first step in rescinding a Bush administration moral conscience regulation which enforces existing legal protections against discrimination and intimidation for doctors and other healthcare professionals who invoke conscience by refusing to participate in medical procedures they believe immoral.

The rule, which was finalized last year placed no restriction upon any legal medical procedure; it simply brought the executive branch into compliance with several existing laws including:

  • the 1973 "Church Amendments" which protect doctors and other healthcare professionals from discrimination due to religious belief or moral conviction;
  • the 1996 “Public Health Service Act Amendment” which prohibits government from discriminating against individual and institutional healthcare providers who choose not to provide abortion services or receive abortion training; and
  • the 2004 "Hyde-Weldon Amendment” which prohibits certain federal funds going to federal and state agencies and programs that discriminate against healthcare providers who decline to offer or refer abortion services.

Simply put, these three venerable laws passed by Congress and signed by former Presidents protect doctors and nurses from being professionally threatened because they allow their conscience to dictate their professional actions.

By eliminating the enforcement of these legal protections, the Obama Administration is signaling that it intends to ignore the law and refuse to protect the civil liberties of healthcare professionals based upon religious or moral conscience. Without enforcement, healthcare personnel will have scant legal recourse for intimidation and bigotry rendering the laws intended to protect them meaningless.

Former Bush Administration Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt said the conscience protection was absolutely necessary to confront a growing intolerance in the health field for “individual conscience, certain religious beliefs, ethnic and cultural traditions and moral convictions.”

Sister Carol Keehan, representing Catholic hospitals as president of the Catholic Health Association said, “We have seen a variety of efforts to force Catholic and other healthcare providers to perform or refer for abortions and sterilizations.''

Efforts to roll back freedom of conscience protections are only the latest in a series of aggressive actions that demonstrate intolerance for those whose conscience is convicted in support of a culture of life:

  • In the first month of his presidency, Obama reversed the established Mexico City policy that kept taxpayer money from being used by international organizations for abortions as a method of family planning protecting millions of American from paying for a procedure that they find morally objectionable.
  • Last week, the President unilaterally lifted embryonic-stem-cell research restrictions.
  • In the President’s recent healthcare summit, groups that support abortion were invited but pro-life groups with a stake in healthcare were excluded.
  • With the President’s support, Congress recently approved $50 million in funding for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). UNFPA is complicit in China's unspeakably cruel one-child enforcement policy, which employs forced abortion and sterilization.
  • The President’s nomination of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius to be the new Secretary of Health and Human Services prompted George Weigel who leads Catholic Studies at the Ethics and Public Policy Center to question whether “conscience-rights protection for pro-life physicians and health-care workers [will] be sustained, amended, or eliminated.”
  • In February, the Administration decided that it would no longer extend hiring protections to faith-based organizations but would instead review on a “case-by-case basis.

The last Congress passed federal funding for embryonic-stem-cell research without hearings in either the House or the Senate, closed the bill to all markups, and bypassed the committee process entirely, we expect the same closed process in this Congress.

Yet, the most hostile assault against the civil liberties in the medical profession may be yet to come.

In 2007, Obama promised a Planned Parenthood gathering on the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade that, as president, he would sign the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). If enacted, FOCA would repeal all federal and state restrictions on abortion including the ban on partial-birth abortion. FOCA would force all public hospitals and health programs offering maternity services to provide abortions. Moreover, provisions in state constitutions that protect speech and the free exercise of religion of those whose conscience is opposed to abortion could be invalidated.

Having no reason to believe that President Obama will not fulfill this radical campaign pledge, some Catholic bishops are talking openly about engaging in civil disobedience to protect Catholic hospitals and their doctors from being forced to perform abortions.

The chilling effect of the Obama administration forcing doctors and nurses to choose between their losing their careers and being compelled to participate in abortions against their moral and religious belief is incalculable. Not only will pro-life doctors and nurses be driven from the professions, but patients will lose the ability to choose doctors who reflect their own religious and moral convictions, doctors who now help them to make healthcare choices based upon them.

The fact is, there are doctors and nurses who have no moral objection to abortion. Why then, should some medical professionals be compelled to do something that compromises their conscience? It is one thing to hold fast to the pro-abortion position as a matter of a personal opinion, it is quite another to force someone else to compromise their moral integrity.

Now the clock is ticking on the thirty-day review and public feedback period where public opinion might change the administration’s direction toward religious freedom. Let’s hope.

Lib/Commie/Socialist/Progressive

The title of this post is a partial list of labels that have been attached to our current president. Now, I'm only talking about political labels here. Of course words like, buffoon, idiot, jerkwad, schmuck...all these seem to apply the more we hear of what he's doing to prolong our fiduciary suffering, increase our risk to attacks, and other buffoonish, idiotic, jerkwadian and schmuck-like moves on his part.

But again, I'm speaking only politically here, and that's been bad enough for some. Some of our left-leaning visitors have defended Barry against charges of socialism or communism, though mostly because Barry states he isn't one of 'em. We on the right have taken a more "if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck" attitude. So, to that end, I present these two articles about the Duck in Chief. The first is from the wonderful Selwyn Duke who also takes legitimate shots at lefty journalists who should have seen this guy coming. The other is from a recent Randall Hoven article.

For me, anything left of center is merely a matter of degrees, all shades of the same beast, right until fascism. It's just a matter of how far the lefty in charge wants to take it, how how far he is allowed to go by the rest of us. But no matter what the left wants to call him, and no matter what Barry calls himself, it's damn clear he's a Duck.

The World...It Just Doesn't Understand!

Embrace the Hope and Change, Folks!

Note-I was expecting to see Dan Trabue's name attached to this article!

Barry Brilliant

I'm not big on polls. Despite what anyone might say to defend them, I find them to be largely a big waste of time. Between how the questions are asked, how many people are generally asked, and who those people are, there's not a lot to support giving them the time of day. The best polls are elections. The amount of people "polled" and the fact that something definite occurs as a result makes them more worthy of notice. But any poll with direct questions and a large pool of respondents is better than ambiguous questions to groups of people 5000 or less (and usually MUCH less).

So I was interested in an AOL poll today with two questions. At the time I answered the question "What grade do you give Obama's presidency so far?", the total votes was 234,124. It played out as follows:

F-40% 92,926 votes
D-19% 45,139 votes
A-19% 44,652 votes
B-11% 26,183 votes
C-11% 24,224 votes

The second question was "What grade do you give Obama's economic policy so far?" and the total votes was 236,298. The results at the time were:

F-49% 114,630 votes
D-15% 35,598 votes
A-13% 31,253 votes
B-13% 30,169 votes
C-10% 23,648 votes

Now, I don't know about any of you, but my momma was never pleased with C's on my report cards, tests or any other school work. But if we say that a C means one isn't failing, then 59% of those responding (234,124 did) think Barry's failing. (To Momma, a D meant you were failing, even if you got promoted to the next grade level.) And it gets worse when looking at Obama's economic policies. 64% think he sucks out loud. I wonder how many of that almost 1/4 million respondents voted for the guy?

New Disturbing Attempted Governmental Take-Over

It seems democrats are taking Rahm Emanuel's sentiment to heart, choosing to not let a "good" crisis go to waste-- namely, the recent salmonella outbreak. Say hello to HR 875, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 The bill that can, according to an email I received,

...essentially prohibit organic farming as well as individual food growing for private consumption. It puts the business of farming into Federal hands and removes the power of the state, and it supports factory farming. It mandates the use of certain chemicals in the name of Food Safety. Some people describe HR 875 as "criminalizing organic farming".

I did not rely on this one email to make up my mind, however. I went and looked for myself, and what I've found are reasonable arguments both for and against this legislation. Perhaps the most stunning element in the debate is the continued innocent-hearted belief in, and adoration of government... "Government only wants what's best for us." They claim that government has no desire to make backyard gardens and organically grown foods illegal, that the bill does not say any such thing.

Look, however, at what the bill DOESN'T say:

Nowhere are backyard farms or farmers selling to the local farmers market specifically exempted. Everyone who produces food either for themselves or to sell to the local farmers market must register with the government and submit to government inspection, and be subject to fines up to one-million dollars per offense per day.

I understand the desire to insure our food is safe. I understand and approve of some assurances that the food supply is safe. These new regulations, however, overseen by a new branch of government and oppressive bureaucracy are not the answer. Look at what the government did to the Almond industry. It forced growers to pasteurize their fruit thereby killing everything that made the almond so doggone healthy. Sure, you can still get nutrients from almonds, but those nutrients are for the most part inert-- dead --robbed of their famed efficacy. What's the point now of eating almonds except as a tasty form of roughage?

The Organic industry will be hurt by this bill [the Senate has its own version: S 425, the "FDA Farm Nationalization Bill"], as will small family owned farms... this could include, as I stated earlier, the "backyard farmer" for the very reason no provision is made in the bills to protect him. It's called the "Law of Unintended Consequences," the same Law that took 1960's Welfare and shook it for the change in our pockets, and our grandchildren's children's pockets as well. And in the process, creating a new subclass of dependents. What kind of dependents will this this legislation, if passed, create? A sick and dying populace in need of government-funded universal healthcare? Frightening.

The only folks who can literally afford the regulations, fees, and fines these two bills would impose on violators are the large corporate farms like Monsanto, Tyson, ADM, etc. How many of your local family owned farms will be able to afford the burdensome regulations these bills could and will likely impose? Where will you buy fresh fruit and produce? What about organic produce? Where? Not in any government supplied grocery store.

Remember: who was it that was responsible for the two most recent salmonella outbreaks? Not the small family, local, farmer. Not the "Backyard" gardener.

HR 875 The food police, criminalizing organic farming and the backyard gardener, and violation of the 10th amendment

S 425 FDA Farm Nationalization

The FDA is completely incompetent NOW. Imagine it with new and deeper levels of bureaucracy. Every week, it seems, we here another story about how the FDA failed to fully study one drug or another, and the imposition of "Black Label Warnings" on drugs previously deemed and touted as "Safe." Do we really want the government, especially the FDA, controlling America's food supply?

Lenin exerted strong controls over manufacturing and food production, but those of us who were of an age to understand remember seeing the food and commodity lines of Soviet Russia. The USSR also thought such controls were a good idea. The problem was, however, that the average soviet couldn't get much of what they needed, while the governmental aristocracy got all they could want, and more. Everyone was equal, but some were evidently more equal than others.

If the United States keeps moving in the direction Barack is desiring to take us, historians may find it difficult to tell 21st century America from 20th century Russia.

Contact your representatives and tell them to get the hell out of your backyard. Tell them to get their filthy fingers out of your salad.

Call: 202-224-3121 and ask them to oppose HR 875 and S 425. While you are at it ask them if they personally have read the legislation and what their position is? If they have not read the legislation ask them to read it and politely let them know that just because other representatives are not reading the legislation and voting on it does not mean they can do the same.

They are not the kings. They are OUR employees. Make and KEEP them accountable by making your voice heard.

Now get out there and be an American! Fight!

Liberals are Sickening

My stomach actually became upset when I read this.

Our resident trolls will praise whoever was responsible for this use of liberal tactics.

If I were Norm Coleman or one of his contributors, I'd want to stick a 10 gauge up his/her (most probably "their") ass and pull the freaking trigger!

Of course, he/she, they would probably like it at first.

I'd just tell the judge it was rough-sex and plead innocent.

CIC Obama: Conquering New (Old) Enemies!

No longer is there going to be a War on Terror! Not while we have:

A War on Business...

A War on Christianity...

A War on Rush...

A War on the Innocent!

Enemy of Life

Everywhere you look you find that Barry has no great love for life. Life is a mere commodity, I guess. It's value is subjective. We know he favors abortion for anyone, for any reason, at any time, everywhere. We know he considers one to be a person well after one has emerged from the birth canal depending on the whim of the mother. We know that one can be used for scientific experimentation without one's consent, as he has just overturned the ban on using federal funds for embryonic stem cell research. Good thing those little suckers can't speak for themselves!

Now, as described in this article, we find that the right to life is further eroded and based on cost. No wonder he wants to ram these bills through so quickly!

I'm still waiting for something that supports the bleating of the left that says Barry Obama is brilliant. So far, he's a punk. As much as I hate everything he's done so far, I'm not prepared to say that I hate him personally. But he is a punk. And a cheap punk at that. I've no respect for the guy whatsoever. And I don't have a whole lot for those who voted for him, either. In fact, the mere mention of his name, the sound of his voice, the sight of his face, fills me with contempt for everyone I know who voted for him. Only a punk could provoke such feelings.

Eric thinks he's a one term president. I'd like to think so, too. But then I think of all those suckers who voted for him and I wonder if there's enough of them to prevent the election of a better man. Right now, I don't even care which party provides the better man, though it ain't likely he'll come from the Dems.

Maybe it's the result of the decreasing numbers of people who believe in God. A recent study, supposedly polling around 50,000 people, says there is such a drop. The people doing the study are questionable, but I'm grasping for understanding. Fewer God-fearing voters could account for such a punk being seriously considered. I mean, between those who don't believe, those who think their beliefs should be shelved where public policy is concerned, and those who believe in something that only slightly resembles the God of Abraham and you end up with a large crowd of those without the sense to know evil when it gets behind a podium. Am I saying Barry's evil? No, I'm saying he's a punk. Evil uses punks to do it's work. Cheap punks don't know the difference.

And I'm also saying that to this cheap punk, life is cheap. Thanks a lot, suckers.

Quoth the Rino

You'd think they might take a page out of our book rather than trying to fight it." -Senatress, Olympia Snowe (R[ino]) ME, on the Rush Limbaugh "issue".

Why fight it, y'all! Why fight for what is right! Why fight for common-sense! Why not just give in to the profanity and hatred that permeates from each and every pore of the political Left?

Eh?

Why?

We Are The Lobsters...

..::Fodder for Thought, Folks::..

"Government can do something for the people only in proportion as it can do something to the people."

-- Thomas Jefferson

"That [tyrannical government] power is absolute, minute, regular, provident and mild. It would be like the authority of a parent if, like that authority, its object was to prepare men for manhood; but it seeks, on the contrary, to keep them in perpetual childhood: it is well content that the people should rejoice, provided they think of nothing but rejoicing. For their happiness such a government willingly labors, but it chooses to be the sole agent and the only arbiter of that happiness; it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principal concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances: what remains, but to spare them all the care of thinking and all the trouble of living?"

--French historian Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859)

"Most of us imagine the transformation of a free society to a tyrannical state in Hollywood terms, as a melodramatic act of violence like a military coup or an armed insurrection. [Alexis de] Tocqueville knows better. He foresees a slow death of freedom. The power of the centralized government will gradually expand, meddling in every area of our lives until, like a lobster in a slowly heated pot, we are cooked without ever realizing what has happened. The ultimate horror of Tocqueville's vision is that we will welcome it, and even convince ourselves that we control it. There is no single dramatic event in Tocqueville's scenario, no storming of the Bastille, no assault on the Winter Palace, no March on Rome, no Kristallnacht. We are to be immobilized, Gulliver-like, by myriad rules and regulations, annoying little restrictions that become more and more binding until they eventually paralyze us. ... Permitting the central government to assume our proper responsibilities is not merely a transfer of power from us to them; it does grave damage to our spirit. It subverts our national character. In Tocqueville's elegant construction, it 'renders the exercise of the free agency of man less useful and less frequent; it circumscribes the will within a narrower range and gradually robs a man of all the uses of himself.' Once we go over the edge toward the pursuit of material wealth, our energies uncoil, and we become meek, quiescent and flaccid in the defense of freedom."

--author Michael Ledeen

How many here realize that the walrus was the villain? Funny how we juxtapose the things that are undeniable right with the things we instinctively know are wrong.

Take the time to read the poem. Is this not where WE are being led? Oysters to the stew?

Goo goo g'joob, everyone.

Remove another white stone from the board...

The forces of evil have taken the life of another soldier; he is martyred in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. Why did the gunman storm into the First Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois? Did he hate Christians so much that he felt the need to kill the senior pastor Fred Winters, and wounding 5 others in his rampage?

Christians still die for their testimony. The killings didn't end with Rome. Consider James 4:4...

"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

If friendship with the world is enmity with God, the opposite is likewise true. Friendship with God is enmity with the world. Jesus bore this out in his persecution, arrest, torture, and crucifixion. Before he died for our sins he told his disciples...

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also."

--John 15:20-23

If they hate Jesus, and by extension hate God, they hate his followers too. They hate the Jews, they hate the Christians. They hate truth, they hate the Light... because their deeds are evil [John 3:19].

But hold fast. Stand your ground. That's all God is asking. He has given each of us a patch of earth to defend (wherever his will directs us IS that patch of ground). The war is won but the battles still rage. Satan has lost, and in these last moments his desperation is reflected in the hearts and minds of his children.

Our brother is now home. Perhaps he is witnessing preparations for our Lord's return; for surely that day is soon.

The Lord comfort his servant's family, and bring them through the days ahead stronger in faith, more cognizant of HIS grace, and more committed to His service.

Amen.

Further Into Godlessness

This news should come as no surprise. How could it? If Obama sees no value in the lives of those who survive an abortion, if he sees no value in those who didn't and won't, how could he possibly see any value in the lives of the embryos that must die to be of use to those who believe they hold the key to cures? What in the hell is wrong with people who insist that a person is not a person, a human being is not a human being, when all the science points to that very fact?

My local paper also carried the news. Right there out in the open, on page 2. On a Saturday. It carried a quote from a Sean Morrison, director of the University of Michigan's Center for Stem Cell Biology. It said, "America's biomedical research enterprise experienced steady decline over the past eight years, with shrinking budgets and policies that elevated ideology over science."

Ideology over science? Should it ever be any other way? At the very least, if one wishes to experiement on a human subject, one should experiment on one's self. To speak of ideology in this manner, as if it is inferior to science, is nothing more than lib-speak aimed toward further marginalizing of religion, particularly the Judeo-Christian tradition, that holds human life sacred from conception to natural death.

That there has been descent of American values and traditions is not at question. Indeed, to elect to the presidency one with so little regard for human life in all its stages is evidence enough of that. The question truly is, how much further will we descend? Hell's the limit.

Health Care Horror

I read this Walter Williams article and thought it would be good to share here. Among all the dubious, if not downright stupid, proposals oozing up from the new administration like puss out of an infected wound (health care tie-in), you just know that Barry's health care ideas will be as painful as any malady for which one would seek medical attention (health care tie-in). I always hear lefties make claims about death rates and such being better in those countries that have the type of socialized health care championed by most of the doufas Dems. Williams paints a different picture that matches the stories of those who deal with such systems.

For me, the worst part about the lefty health care ideas, aside from the fact that it'll be tougher to get medical attention, is that our tax dollars will pay for costs run up by people who won't even take care of themselves. Just like bailing out idiots who bought houses they couldn't afford, or idiots who couldn't manage their businesses, we'll be forced to pay for those who make no effort to avoid hazardous living. Who wants to pay doctor bills for the jackass who drinks too much, or blows too much coke? Who wants to pay for that idiot who picks up HIV while trying to get laid with another partner than last week?

Of course there's just so much that is wrong with universal health care, and Williams covers other points, that I can't understand how anyone would ever back such a suicidal idea. But then I remember we're talking about a lefty proposal. We have problems with health care costs for sure. It's less the system than it is all the governmental inteference that damaged the system so badly. But hey, there's nothing that's broken so badly that Barry won't be able to worsen.

Abdul and Achmed

(with original artwork by me)

The scene is an underground room buried somewhere deep within the mountains of Afghanistan. The room is nearly bare except for two metal folding chairs located directly in front of a long folding table littered with newspapers, both American and Middle Eastern. On the wall, directly behind the table, is a bank of television monitors tuned to various news programs originating from stations all around the world. Al-Jezeera, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, and even FOX news, etc.

Achmed sits at the table, poring over news reports from The United States.

Abdul enters, stage right.

Abdul: Praise Allah, and Mohammad his holy Prophet! What news, Achmed, my friend?

Achmed: All praise and glory to our great and wonderful Allah! Abdul, I have very good news! Allah has blessed us for all our hard work in our holy jihad against the infidels!

Abdul: Allah be praised! What good news, if you please?

Achmed: The wonderful and merciful Allah has granted us, by His grace, an extended vacation! We can take the next 18 months off, to recuperate and regroup.

Abdul: Praise indeed to our Holy God, Allah, who has honored us with this wonderful sabbatical! Which of our relentless attacks against the infidel has earned us this highest of honors?

Achmed: All praise to Allah, for His mercy and Judgment! Allah is great and knows all, for he has provided us an ally in American government, who has at last rewarded us for our effort and announced America's surrender!

Abdul: Praise Allah! What ally is this, my friend and battle mate?

Achmed: All honor and praise to the great Allah! Our new American ally is none other than the new American President, Barack Hussein Obama! He has announced he will remove the infidel armies from Iraq! And, praise be to Allah, he has told even us when they will leave!

Abdul: Allah has answered our prayers! Praise be forever to Allah and death to His enemies! When will the infidels leave, my friend?

Achmed: Allah shall be praised indeed, Abdul, The American President has announced that he will withdraw the troops by August of next year!

Abdul: Allah has surely provided us a light at the end of the tunnel, no doubt, but why, after all this time, do we have to wait so long to take our much deserved vacation?

Achmed: Praise Allah! That's the best part, my friend! We no longer have to wait to take vacation! Now that we know the definite date of our victory, we can relax now, take our vacation now, and wait until then. Then, we can renew our efforts unimpeded by the infidels.

Abdul: Allah is great! I get it now, my friend! All we need to do now is lay back and wait until the Americans think we have stopped fighting, and then, when they finally pull out, we can renew the fight with renewed vigor! We will destroy Israel and all the infidels! Praise Allah! We have won!

Abdul and Achmed together (while dancing around the room in euphoria): Praise Allah! Praise Allah! Praise Allah!

Has Biden Been Bashing Himself in the Head for Taking the Job?

Just Sayin'!

Speculative Fear-Fodder, But Frightening If True...

...if it actually happens.

This is the third time I've seen this story in one form or another coming from the AP. Could the U.S. really disintegrate into four or more states within the next year or two?

Let me point out again (as I have in other posts), for those of you who put stock in such, America is not mentioned AT ALL in bible prophecy.

Scholar: U.S. to Collapse Next Year, Alaska Reverts to Russia

"If you're inclined to believe Igor Panarin, and the Kremlin wouldn't mind if you did, then President Barack Obama will order martial law this year, the U.S. will split into six rump-states before 2011, and Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order.

"Panarin might be easy to ignore but for the fact that he is a dean at the Foreign Ministry's school for future diplomats and a regular on Russia's state-guided TV channels. And his predictions fit into the anti-American story line of the Kremlin leadership."

What I've read previously, the west coast would go to China, the East Coast to Europe, the south including New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida would go to Mexico (that one I find completely implausible since Mexico is on the verge of collapse itself).

The only reason I put ANY stock whatsoever in this is the reality that America is NOT mentioned in Bible prophecy... Europe, Russia, China are all dominant powers, but not the US. SOMETHING happens to the U.S. What that something is-- for now, as this post's title states, it's just speculative fear-fodder --who knows? Who knows WHAT it'll be, but I believe I will live to see it.

Perhaps the most frightening aspect of this is that Barack Obama has done NOTHING to allay the Fear. On the contrary, he seems hell-bent (it's just a term, no inference intended) on tearing down everything that made this country great.

Obama: Waging War On Prosperity

--Dick Morris & Eileen McGann
March 3, 2009 - New York Post

Excerpt:

"Here is a president who would rather redistribute income than create wealth. He thinks it more important to grow government than to fight inflation. He believes that it is crucial to expand health care to the young and middle aged, even if it means cutting it back for the elderly. He's more committed to effecting "broad change" in his first term than he is to winning a second one.

We have a president, in short, who will stand on his principles. Unfortunately, they're bad ones."

[Read it all here.]

The more he twists the knife in America's back the more thankful I become that he will be a one-term president.

Arianna Huffington and The Eeeville Karl Rove... spelled with a "K"

Why can't Liberals and Conservatives agree? Because they're living in two different realities....

Exhibit A:

"Yesterday, Rahm Emanuel declared that Rush Limbaugh is "the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican Party." In truth, Rush is just a massive shiny object that distracts our attention from the real intellectual force behind the Republican Party, Karl Rove. He demonstrated on This Week why he is the real danger in the wounded-but-still-destructive GOP. There he was, calmly, lucidly, and shamelessly trying to eviscerate Obama's proposals to get us out of the economic mess -- without ever once acknowledging that he was one of the prime architects of the mess. Having Rove on to pontificate about the economy is like having Bernie Madoff on to offer advice about investing. What's next? Inviting Chris Brown on to tsk-tsk about the dangers of domestic violence?"

Liberals apparently have never heard the names-- in context of the lending collapse --Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank... Fannie, anyone? Freddie?

I thought not.

Dissention in the Moderate Ranks

A Moderate Manifesto
--David Brooks, March 2, 2009
The New York Times

Excerpt:

"...the Obama budget is more than just the sum of its parts. There is, entailed in it, a promiscuous unwillingness to set priorities and accept trade-offs. There is evidence of a party swept up in its own revolutionary fervor — caught up in the self-flattering belief that history has called upon it to solve all problems at once.

"So programs are piled on top of each other and we wind up with a gargantuan $3.6 trillion budget. We end up with deficits that, when considered realistically, are $1 trillion a year and stretch as far as the eye can see. We end up with an agenda that is unexceptional in its parts but that, when taken as a whole, represents a social-engineering experiment that is entirely new.

"The U.S. has never been a society riven by class resentment. Yet the Obama budget is predicated on a class divide. The president issued a read-my-lips pledge that no new burdens will fall on 95 percent of the American people. All the costs will be borne by the rich and all benefits redistributed downward."

This from an Obama voter. For some at the New York Times, the honeymoon is indeed over, and the question is being asked... "where is the hope and change I voted for?"

Obama seeks to take away religious rights of doctors and health care providers who refuse to perform abortions

March 3, 2009

Dear Eric,

According to several news agencies, President Barack Obama will rescind the "conscience rule" that protects health workers who refuse to participate in abortions or other medical procedures that go against their moral and religious beliefs. If the rule is rescinded, doctors, nurses and other health care workers could lose their jobs or be punished professionally for adhering to their sincerely held religious convictions. Obama's proposal would take away their religious freedom.

The current rule empowers federal health officials to cut off federal funding for any state or local government, hospital, clinic, health plan, doctor's office or other entity if it does not accommodate employees who exercise their right of conscience. It applies to more than 584,000 health care facilities.

The Obama administration is doing the bidding of pro-abortion advocacy groups who seek to penalize health care providers who refuse to participate in abortions.

According to The Washington Post, Obama administration officials stressed that the proposal will be subject to 30 days of public comment. That is why it is so very important for you to let the White House hear from you today.

Questions to Consider:

So, let me get this straight... the rights of some supersede the rights of others? Some have access to their rights but others do not? The responsible should be forced to cater to the whims of the irresponsible? Professionals with a conscience should be made to perform the unconscionable for those without conscience? Barack Obama does NOT support abortion, nor is he a murderer for doing so, but he has no problem with holding a proverbial gun to the heads of those who refuse to perform what THEY deem murder? Are we slaves? Does government have the right to tell ANYONE they must do what their conscience tells them is wrong? What happened to each American's right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness?

What has happened to America?
